This Week In Chess

Hello everyone. Here is a small history of the Lake Superior Chess Association. The Lake Superior Chess Association is a United States Chess Federation affiliate and is a part of the Michigan Chess Association. All of the members are spread distantly throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but the main headquarters of the LSCA is in Negaunee, MI.

By being established in the summer of 1971, this association is nearly 30 years old. There are about 200 members throughout the UP, downstate, and other states that Michigan. These players range from masters to beginners and usually find time to play in their local clubs.
