Who were you when you crawled
from the primordial ooze?
When waves of pain flowed
through your brain
and your struggles for composer
were only in vain

I remember you then
as I remember you all
Such a strange assortment of misfits
and filthy rag dolls

The sun was so bright
the summer so long
It all had a glow
Everything was wonderful

I wonder what went wrong?

Don’t look at me now
for it's no longer me, you'll see

has become a sad mockery

a brief passage in time
blink your eyes once
