Vision

My Vision

I HAVE A VISION:

That we can learn that ideas are sacred. They are the orchids of the mind, the most beautiful of mans works.

That we can learn that the power created by open and honest communications can defeat the strongest attack on our integrity.

That when each of us has committed to trust each other that the chains of fear will be broken and each of us will be free to chart our own course towards a common vision.

That we all believe that to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." is the Golden Rule, and to tarnish it is to be untrue to yourself.

That we learn to trust each other and unlock the doors to the offices, labs, and stockrooms.

That suppliers and customers, engineers and plant foreman, lawyers and accountants, that all of us can learn that adversarial positions are draining, and that partnerships are exhilarating.

That the only mistake we can make that truly matters is to fail to give our best effort.

That we all believe that "Life is not a dress rehearsal" means always striving to find our best.

That we can build safety nets so people can be safe when experimenting, when testing new concepts, when finding their own limits.

That we will find the courage to ignore the raucous noise of Wall Street, the blitherings of those who do not create wealth but waste their lives criticizing those who do.

That we can learn that every failure is a victory over ignorance. That each failed attempt removes a little more shadow from our lives and allows just that much more knowledge to help guide us towards ultimate success.

That the age of chivalry, and the honor, respect, courage and nobility that it represented can be recovered in our hearts. And when, in our minds eye, we can see the banners of Camelot flying over our homes and offices, when the Knights are returning proudly victorious, and each of us, from the meanest stable boy to Arthur himself knows that victory could not have been achieved without each of us, and all of us,

Then we will have succeeded.
