Good evening.
The theme of the day is diplomacy.
The search for a way out of war in the Balkans. With input from Moscow, Washington and Ottawa.
But if anything tonight, NATO appears to be stepping up its air strikes.
Just hours ago, sirens signalled the start of the 41'st night of bombing, as the damage from last night was still being talled.
Our coverage beings with the CBC's David Halton.

Davai Halton> Many of the latest targets were all too familiar - oil refineries, bridges, ammunition depots.
But NATO jets also chose a new target and new type of bomb to black-out 70 per cent of Yugoslavia.
Exploding in mid-air, the bombs contain graphite, that short-circuited the country's two biggest power grids without destroying the power plants.

NATO Spokeman> NATO has its finger on the light switch in Yogoslavia now.
And we can turn the power off whenever we need to and whenever we wanted.
