"I feel art is a joyful expression of the soul. My philosophy of art is to capture the essence of the subject. I believe art should elevate the soul.

My experience in art began in early 1992, immediately after retirement from a carrier in science. My love for beauty and nature is deeply rooted in the country of my birth, Persia.

I am grateful to two mentors who influenced my work in art : One is Pat Sherwood, my first teacher in "Beginning Drawing", who was also my subsequent painting critique. She would say: " There are two kinds of art, good and bad!" I have strived, hopefully, for the good. The other mentor was Mike Linstrum, a wonderful artist and colorist.

I have participated in some art exhibitions: Saratoga-SCA, Los Gatos Museum, Triton Museum VAAST, etc. and have won a few awards: "Toni"- 1st place, "Dawn, 1st place, "An Arrangement", Honorary mention, etc.
