"ALFIE The Elf"
| Welcome to the Elfin Forest. The
Elfin Forest is home to Spriterose, Alfie the Elf and all the wee folk
many of you have only heard about in legends, but have never seen. By wee
folk, we mean elves, sprites (like me), faeries, dwarves and many other
assorted creatures. I am Spriterose. I am the story keeper of the Elfin Forest. I spend my days gathering all of the events that happen in the forest and tucking them away in my spritesack to be retold at a later time. I have many wonderful stories and pictures of things that have happened here that I may tell another time, but today I will tell you a little about the elves and faeries that live here with me. Elves are merry little people. They
are very hard workers, that keep the forest clean, and tend to many of
the animals there. As you can see in the picture above, Alfie is hard at work raking leaves. It is Fall in the Elfin Forest and there is quite a lot to do to get ready for winter.
Have you ever thought that you saw
something move out of the corner of your eye and when you turned there
was nothing there? Have you ever sat by a pond, quietly, and watched a
dragon fly flying around, or a butterfly flittering from flower to flower?
If you looked very close there may have been an elf riding on it. Turn over that leaf next time, or
lift a rock, there may be one hiding under it. Don't try to catch one,
though, because they are gentle little creatures and very fragile. You
wouldn't want to hurt one. Elves love to read and can sometimes
be seen on top of a mushroom, or up in a tree reading. If you are lucky
enough. you may be able to catch a glimpse of one before they notice you
and disappear.  The elves live in the trees of the
Elfin Forest. The forest is a magical place, and late at night the elves
and faeries gather around the faery ring and the faeries do their dance,
to weave the magic that keeps the forest lush and beautiful. During the
day while the elves are hard at work tending to the forest, the faeries
fly around gathering nectar from the flowers and use it to make honey cakes
and dewdrop tea. Soon, I will be adding links to the "LILYPAD", the FAERY MEADOW", and "HUMMINGBIRD HOLLOW". Watch for them. There will be stories and some poems of the Elfin Forest, and many pictures. To Bunny Drawing Card
