    Jordan is quite the tomboy of the story. She has her hair cut short and plays golf. [which, back in the 20s when the story takes place, was unusual for a woman] She is also a careless driver.

    Jordan is the key link between Gatsby and Nick and Daisy and Gatsby. She is the one who first introduces Gatsby and Nick during a party at Gatsby's and also "re-introduces" Daisy and Gatsby later on, where they fall in love. Also, she and Nick have some sort of unclear relationship going on.

    Jordan is also into going to parties and having a good time, which is a 'roaring Twenties' type thing to do.
