My "Friends Without Faces"

This page is dedicated to all my friends and cyber-family.

My reason for calling this page "Friends without Faces" is because when my kids got me started on, first Powwow, then ICQ and one by one introduced me to their friends, other than a few that I had seen pictures of, they were friends without faces. It was so much fun as time went on to see photos of my friends and come to know their personalities, talents, skills, humor (and I could go on and on). They made me a part of this "Point World Community" and yes it is a community. It's a group of guys and gals from all over the world. They are each and every one special to me. Just like any family there is happiness, problems, tears, joy and yes even a few spats. Just like any family everyone sticks together and offers encouragement, smiles, laughs and loads of ROTFLMAF's. I would feel a very empty spot if I would ever lose one of these special friends with the funny names. Most of my friends here in Yuma and in Ohio, cannot understand this special bond I have with a bunch of people I haven't met. Quite frankly I feel I know you better than I do people I have known for years. You may have all been "Friends without Faces" you are certainly now or never been "Friends without Hearts"

I loved this poem when I first read it and I like it even more now. It is what inspired me to do this page. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

"FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES" We sit and we type and we stare at our screens. We all have to wonder, what this possibly means. We chat with each other, we share all our woes. Small groups we do form and gang up on our foes. We wait for somebody to type out our name, We want recognition and offer the same. We give kisses and hugs and sometimes we flirt, In rooms we chat deeply and reveal why we hurt. We form friendships but why is a thing we don't know. Though most often founder some will flourish and grow. Why is it that on screen, we can all be so bold, Telling our secrets that have never been told? Why is it we share those deep thoughts in our mind With those we can't see, as though we were blind? The answer is simple, it's as clear as a bell. We all have our problems and need someone to tell. We can't tell "real" people, but tell someone we must So we turn to the 'puter', and to those we can trust. Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains, They are friends without faces and with odd little names.

These faces come alive as time goes on, as you will see. There's Jedi, Ciara, Flyby and LvMyFzBtt, there's Llyr, Finn, GerryM and Webbum & Tanis, also Gypsy, AlaskaLab, Medic, Cowboy, (Hillbilly, Hunter and Star), also, Guy, DeFish, Imagica, Gandolf,Iceman, Ladyhawk, Lolly, Snybbie and ZooRoo. You'll never meet a greater bunch. I know I haven't.

Below you will meet some of my Friends that mean so very much to me I enjoy many of them on a daily basis and believe me they "Make My Day". We laugh, we cry and share so much of our triumphs, sadness, joy, and humor. If I would lose one of my cyber-friends, just like a member of my family, it would leave a big empty spot. Hope you enjoy seeing my "Friends with Faces" and where they hang their hats.

My "Good Friend" Jedi and a great guy. He has helped and encouraged me, as well as pulled a few little "Shady" things on me with the help of Ciara and Flyby. He is very talented and heads up the "Point World Chronicle". Even when he is busy, he always has time to say hi. I have great admiration for him.

"Flyby" from California. I have been in touch with Flyby for a long time. He was one of the first my kiddies, Star and Hunter, introduced me to. I have had so much fun with him and he is a real prankster. He also writes for the Chronicle and his jokes are great. "Whatta Guy"!!!!!

"Sweet Ciara". She also writes many great articles for the Chronicle. Where she gets her ideas to go on and on, I don't know. She is very talented and humorous. She too is never too busy to say hi and send me 1st dibs on the Chronicle. The three of these great friends will never let me forget how much I missed out on by not having sense enough to know there was more than one page. Ciara, Jedi and Flyby had a hay day with that one. But the great thing about them, they can take it as well as dish it out. Love all three of them.

How bout this "LvMyPhzBtt"???? This is no reflection on her bottom part, she has ferrets for pets. Dee is from Longggg Island, N.Y. I got to meet her when we were visiting family in Staten Island. What a fun visit we had. My daughter Star was there too and Dee's friend Doug. Dee is always there to help me out of some messes I get into trying to do all this kewl stuff. Thanks Dee

Finn is my "Special" Sweet friend from Finland. What a joy and pleasure he has given me since I've known him. We have had serious chats, silly chats and just downright funny chats. He is our newest Papa. After much problems with pregnacy, Kirsy brought a very Tiny 2.5 oz. or so, into this world. We have seen pictures of the wee one and all of us have cried. Finn even managed to maintain his sense of humor during this battle for the babe & mother. What a great person. Really luv ya my friend Finn.

Then there's My "Star and Hunter". I can hardly call them Friends without faces but since they got me into all this "Point World, ICQ, HTML" and all the things I said I'd never be interested in, I thought they should be on here too. I spend my summers in Ohio about 10 minutes from them. Needless to say I bug them a lot. Love spending my time with them and my granddaughters. Deb and I have a lot of great quality time together and I love getting out on the Golf Course with Chris. What fun we have. Thank you "My Loves" for getting me into this "Wild, Wonderful, Wacky World" of Cyberland.
