They meet over coffee
In an all night cafe.
Brought together by friends
In a nice sort of way.

She watched him walk in
Said it reminded her of Duke
He sat in the booth
And thought she was cute.

Time for them passed
And older they grew
A seed had been planted
To grow straight and true.

A couple of years later
Dates roses and miles
They stood at opposite ends
Of a churches aisles.

The whispers, they were rampant
Not six months, or a year they'll last
But the rumors were squelched
As the years they did pass.

First came a son
Then came another
To a happy Dad
And the perfect mother.

Storms they did weather
And hard were many of the times
Their love many times tested
But the love it still shines.

Now after 17 years
All the critics are quiet
They think back on the times
And think it was a riot.

And together they are
And together they be
Huggybear and Magicann
Through all history.
