I THOUGHGT I SAW A RAINBOW...
I thought I saw a rainbow
All colorful and bright
At Stones feet she sat
Morning noon and night
Before she came
Out of the sky
He made many
Sit down and cry
Hard as a rock
Sat the man called Stone
Feared by so many
He sat all alone
One day the sky opened
And a rainbow appeared
Sat down at his feet
Said "What's happenin' here"
The colors hit the Stone
It cracked just a bit
She looked in and said
"A heart, I must admit"
She touched it with her finger
Right there on the heart
The rock broke away
Just came right apart
Hey says girl what you doin
She replied with a giggle
Wanted to see what’s inside
And gave him a wiggle
He opened his eyes
Saw her in a new way
But he was afraid he would harm
Told her to go away
She looked up at him
Said "you're just too cute
I stay no matter what
I don't give a hoot
The sky reached down a cloud
And touched rainbows face
I know you cannot leave
At his feet is your place
One little promise
And I'll set you free
When the Stone turns to sand
Now she sits at the feet
Of a man that she loves
While the sky
Looks down from above
Every now and then
A cloud passes by
And knocks off a tear
In the corner of the sky’s eye
He knows she will return
When he doesn't know
He looks down and says
I thought I saw a rainbow
