Our Motto

''The Hat Comes First''

There I am, also aswell, in my cosmic ray deflection headpiece. This photo was taken by Harrod Blank with his brand new Hasselblad camera. No you are not getting cross-eyed. He said at the time [1989] that the double exposures were an accident, but I don't know? That first roll of film had several, and they turned out pretty good...

Introduction

The next five pages give almost complete instructions on the designing and construction of cosmic ray deflectors. The motto of the cosmic ray deflection society is ''The Hat Comes First.'' And that is where everyone that wants to join should start. Here's a bit of background on the first theory of cosmic ray deflection. It's why you should consider starting your own Cosmic Ray Deflector.

Knowing that in some future time when the ozone layer has been further destroyed by man-made chemicals such as fluorocarbons and exhaust fumes, the earth and its inhabitants will be mercilessly bombarded by deadly cosmic rays, the Cosmic Ray Deflection Society of North America, Inc. has been organized to discover ways to survive the coming onslaught...

While the society itself was formally organized in May of 1984, cosmic ray deflecting as a mental attitude was first realized in the fall of 1973 when reports first came out on the impending destruction of the ozone layer...Ozone, O3, the thin layer of our planet's atmosphere found 20 miles up, protects us from dreaded cosmic rays [DCRs]. Something had to be done!!! An Anti-Cosmic Ray Suit [ACRaS] would be constructed! Man-made items that are really unnecessary and have no real value for our lives were attached to a hat and a shirt... By believing that the collection of trinkets, tickets, plastics, toys, auto parts, jewelries, beads, buttons, and other trivial items would repel the cosmic rays, the DCRs were actually repelled!!!

We call the point at which the cosmic rays actually start being repelled CRITICAL MASS...As you attach each piece to your cosmic ray deflection item be it hat, shirt, car, house, shield or footgear, you think that this will be the item that gives you critical mass...At some point it actually starts happening!!!

That is the important point in this first law of cosmic ray deflection. As you attach each piece to your cosmic ray deflector, you must believe that this little bit of your life is going to protect you from DCRs. As you paint and attach items to your deflector, these little pieces of your memory slowly grow and multiply in strength and energy and actually start deflecting DCRs. We hope...

Fig.1 Shows DCR's Penetrating the Brain

Figs. 2 and 3 Show CRDHs Deflecting DCRs

This illustration shows how the cosmic rays are actually deflected by working cosmic ray deflection headpieces. If the ozone hole goes down and thousands of DCRs start bombarding the planet, you just put on your hat and start building a suit as quickly as possible. Otherwise your body might melt.

This series of pages will show you step by step, how to choose, paint, stencil and construct your cosmic ray deflector. You will find pictures of completed hats and suits as well as shields and other cosmic ray deflection items... Don't delay, start your cosmic ray suit, now!!!

Well, that's enough introduction, it's time to...

Pick a Hat, Any Hat...

The cosmic ray deflection headpiece [hat] is the first line of defense against deadly cosmic rays (dcrs)...While the CRDH [pronounced - curd] may take many differing shapes, the construction of each is similar. Plastic hard hats, painters caps [for summer wear], old flightcaps with chin straps or whatever hat you choose will do just fine... Make sure you can attach hundreds of useless trinkets to it no matter what style you choose...

A special case in selection of a CRDH is the hard hat...Before you start painting, holes like the ones in the hat shown below need to be drilled to facilitate attachment...

As you paint and attach items to your CRDH, it will slowly gain weight. It is therefore very important to to choose one that will remain stable. Too much weight on any one side will cause the hat to slide off. I've constructed several hats and favor the old style flight caps that have a chin strap to hold the CRDH firmly in place... If you choose a hard hat, a skirt of heavy duty material may be attached to the sides and back to provide additional stability.
