Star Style
Sarah Michelle Gellar

......Buffy the Vampire Slayer battles beasts each week-and even though she's a waifish 5 feet 3 inches tall, star Sarah Michelle Gellar is no shrinking violet either. She's a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do, the Korean art of self-defense, and does most of her own stunts on the show. "I do a good deal of the kicking and punching that you see," says the 21-year-old stunner. Sarah, who shot to fame as bad girl Kendall on All My Children, took on martial arts at the tender age of 9. "A lot of kids took ballet and jazz, but I was a bit of a tomboy and I wanted to do something different." But sometimes being fearless can hurt: An on-screen kick during her first season led to a broken foot, forcing her to spend a few episodes sporting large boots. "Sometimes I'm a walking black-and-blue mark," she admits.
Wardrobe
......"Electic" is how Sarah describes her taste in clothes. "I'm a big fan of Tom Mark, BCBG, Betsey Johnson, Vivienne Tam and any clothes that are comfortable and kind of funky. I put things together that are a little strange." She also loves vintage clothes and leather coats. "You put one on, and you always look good. I also usually wear skirts. I love that whole knee-length look, which is back right now. And I love tank tops, summer or winter. I just put a jacket on, or a sweater over one." Dislikes include anything tight and short, bright pastel colors and shoulder pads. Though she prefers a minimum of accessories, she admits to going overboard on earrings. "I'm thinking about getting another hole in my ear. I have five holes right now." She even used to sport a bellybutton ring.
Beauty
......Sarah-whose hair went from brown to red to blonde in just three months-has just been named a Maybeline makeup spokeswoman, but she likes to go light on cosmetics. "A lot of times I just throw on lip gloss and that's it. I'm very, very careful with my skin. I like the sun, so I never go out without sunblock on my face. And I get a facial once a month. Clarins makes a blemish gel that I swear by." For nights on the town, she uses "Shiseido's eyelash curler-it curls the whole lashline. I like Chanel Quadra eye shadows because they're sort of all in one, and easy to travel with. For lips I like colors such as Mac Folio Satin. I also like to use body glitter on my shoulders and chest." To tame her unruly eyebrows, she uses "clear mascara for eyebrow gel. Hairspray on an eyebrow brush works great, too." For manicures and pedicures, she favors bright colors like Peachy by Hard Candy-and she's mad about vanilla body lotion......more beauty tips and trivia
Exercise
......A former competitive ice-skater, (yes, that's a fake pic, from an SNL skit, but it looks nice, doesn't it?) Sarah tries to get her exercise outdoors. "I hike, bike, in-line skate, or I put my mini-trampoline out on my patio and work out on that-it's great cardiovascular exercise and alot of fun. If I can, I go to the gym three or four times a week, but let's be honest, normally I can't," adds Sarah, who has a treadmill in her home. She also uses free weights for her upper body and spends the first 10 minutes of every morning doing yoga. Although already a martial-arts expert, Sarah had to learn boxing and street fighting for her physical role and says she does 85 percent of Buffy's stunts herself.
Diet
......Sarah has denied rumors of anorexia, but admits that her busy schedule has sometimes caused her to skip meals. "Sometimes I'll be running around and forget to eat, especially lunch, and that's the worst thing you can do," says the 100-pound TV star. "I just started eating really small, frequent meals, and it really helps my energy." She stays away from sugar, dairy products and fied foods, but could practically live on soup. "I always have a bottle of water with me, and I don't really drink anything except water and iced tea. Sarah- who's been known to treat herself to an ice cream cone during breaks on movie sets-also swears by her daily vitamins, usually a multivitamin and a vitamin C. "I really believe vitamins can fix almost anything: skin problems, hair problems, energy problems, colds..." And although she loves a java jolt, she tries to limit her intake of coffee.
