CHRISTOPHER REEVE PASSED AWAY!!! REST IN PEACE SUPERMAN!! We read comics to live through our heroes. They say those things we long to say and do the things we can only dream of doing. They face fear in their daily lives and overcome it. They make us believe a man can fly if he only believes. And today I believe a man can fly and more importantly I think today a man can walk!! There is a sad happiness in my heart right now. Im sad to see him pass on, but im also happy that he will live on in our lives and in our hearts. Christopher Reeve, he never gave up!! He fought against the forces that put him in a wheelchair. He inspired hope when a lot of people said there was no hope. He found hope in tragedy, he found a way to live past it all. In a lot of ways he became the roll that made him famous. He often wanted to escape the cape as he put it, but he never did. He embraced it in some ways and went beyond it in others. He became a real man of steel! I look at the tattoo of superman on my arm and I feel tears well up in my eyes. THe first comic books I read were both marvel and DC, but the first DC comic I can remember reading was Superman!! THe first comic book movie I ever saw in my life was Christopher Reeve as Superman. And again he made you believe a man can fly!! I think im going to have something added to that Superman Tattoo...RIP CR 52-04!! Chris, you will be remembered for you courage and the hope you gave others who had none before. For keeping a lonely kid company when there was no one else around. For making us believe that a man can fly and that he can walk again someday! THere is a light in Heaven tonight as a man walks again! He was a great actor and an even better man despite tragedy! Thank you Chris!! Rest in peace and WALK on forever!! You will be missed!!! The cape stands empty now, but the memory flies on!! Mark Driesbach AH
