"His-Girl"

In the middle of the month of may,
A boy waits for a girl
He sits in his seat at the theater
anticipating the arrival of his-girl

She steps up to buy her ticket,
with her friend at her side,
she asks for one to the show that started 10 minutes ago
Her friend follows in buying a late ticket and drags his-girl into the room.
The two girls walk to the top of the theater and find the boy seated,
two seats beside him
waiting for his-girl and her friend.
Now, five months later,
on the night of the 3 they stand outside his-girl's best friend's house
He must go, and the three inside are watching from the window
His-girl gives him a hug and tells him she loves him
but he wants more, and won't let go
His-girl becomes scared and yells to get away.
He leans in for a kiss, their first kiss
and she scrambles away.
He follows his-girl into the house, to the steps, and half way up
until he sees she is running to the bathroom to lock herself up.
He goes to leave, his friend comforts him before he goes.
His-girl's two friends comfort her,
and she attempts again to be alone with him,
only to fail once more.

The following night, they dance.
The boy and his-girl are the only two that matter.
The are hungry, hungry for knowledge and to know,
It is late, or is it now early?
They lay on the couch in his-girl's house
Their thirst for knowledge is now being quenched.
They have found what they had been missing.
The boy is happy,
and his-girl feels safe, wanted, and fearless
