No Delay-Sieze the Day
One of the things I have relished in lifestyle is the adventurous nature of the people I have met.  People who are willing to explore and challenge: themselves, each other and, in choice of lifestyle, society itself.  We live on the edge, and that will always be an imperfect and challenging place.  So we cannot wait for convention to embrace us.  We cannot hope that the boy/girl next door will share our views.  We must be seekers.  We must be willing to go forward and seize all there is in life, even its imperfections.

"Conditions are never just right. People who delay action until all factors are favorable do nothing."~ William Feather

There is no perfect situation or perfect time. We are what we dare to be and, perhaps more so, we are held back by what we dare not. It may be cliché to say, yet, in the end, the one thing I do not want to be known for is regret. Regret of life not lived, passion restrained, and dreams unfulfilled.

Carpe Diem should be trumpeted as reveille each morning, and we should heed the cry and seize the day. For if not today, then when shall we live? Tomorrow never comes, dreams die, passions abate, and life is never really lived. We simply wait for death, and one day all factors will lead to that. For that is the end, when everything finally equals one thing. Why rush it, and why allow life to slip into the dark abyss of waiting for the right time?

Live the beautiful imperfection of today. Have faith that imperfection itself will be glorious and beautiful. In our lifestyle we appreciate the beauty of pleasure and pain, and the honesty and intimacy of the raw edge that frightens others. I do not desire perfection that leaves unrequited my love of the unknown, the imperfect, and life lived thrusting to find my passions. I choose to push limits, and conventions. In other words, I choose living life rather than waiting for it. Waiting for perfection is it's own death, and I shall reap life myself rather than see it taken by the grim reaper. And I will certainly not be him myself, even for a moment spent waiting to seize the day.
