Sacred
Apprehension felt down deep, anticipation joining in.
Will I bear what is to come?  I want to, just for him.
With each breath comes revelation of all we are as one.
Soon delivered will I be, basking in his sun.

Inserted in is all the warmth, the trust I know to be --
A slight prick, and accepted in to the vessel that is me.
From the offering of my skin that covers all inside,
Deeper probing is that act: there is no place to hide.

No illusion of what we are, for all is laid before
the altar of our separate parts, joined --sacred -- making more.
