Julian D'Anclaude

Race: Human

Class: Bard (Gallant)

Age: 28

Appearance: Julian is a roguishly handsome fellow, looking like some romantic scoundrel out of a novel. His blond hair is always neatly in disarray.  He wears stylish clothing, which changes from casually cool to elegant with each passing day.

Background: One cannot tell Julian's history by his current state of being.  In his short life, he has been many things, but his life has never really been as simple as he makes it appear.

Born Edgar 'Swinehandler', a commoner, his father left his family when he was still a boy.  Jule's mother fell ill not much long after, leaving the boy to be raised by his uncle, a carpenter working for the local lord.  It was here that he grew up, working in the kitchen of the Duke's manor all his life.

As he grew, and became aware of himself and his unique charms, the boy made the mistake of loving above his class, the girl being the young daughter of the lord whose house he attended to.  Once he realized he would never have the money or the means to gain what he wanted most, Edgar left home at age sixteen, joining a trading ship to earn his fortune on the high seas.  As these tales often go, the ship was lost at sea...

Two years later, the pirate vessal Arcadia found port in Southern Solamnia.   Departing the vessal was the Captain's right hand man, a young rogue named Julian D'Anclaude.  Having made a small fortune, and gained a great deal of etiquette and manners from his mentor, the young man travelled home to win the hand of his only true love.  Upon enterring town, he learned that she had been wed two weeks prior to some lord.  As a reward for saving the life of a dear friend, Julian was knighted by the aged old Duke whose dishes he had once cleaned.  He eventually was assigned as the personal escort to his former sweetheart, who had yet to realize that he was the same boy she had lost years before.  Eventually, it became too much for Julian to take.

Giving up on his life as he knew it, Julian set off to help others in the way he could not help himself, and he set off to save the world, in his own special way.   He has toured the jousting circuit, sailed the high seas, and even fought a dragon or two.  While he no longer searches for true love, he certainly has enough love to spread around, particularly adept at aiding the every-day damsel in distress.

The Gallant's travels have taken him all over Ansalon... and finally to the city of Solace.

"I, milady, am a jack of all trades, and master of none. Foremost,
however, I consider myself a sportsman... and my playing
field is the human heart. You, my dear, know as well as
any other that the sport of love is one that we shall never
master, but it doesn't hurt to try." - Julian D'Anclaude
