Hints & Tips:

Fun with humans:
If you feel you got to kill humans but don't want them to fight back then use the Glyphs on them. The Constrict ability will kill humans but they will turn on you (only the vampire hunters that is), the rest will run away.

Take your time:

There is no time limit so take your time and look everywhere you can for hidden things.

Avoid close encounters to conserve energy:

Use the Telekinetic Projectile to hit enemies from a distance, then when they are stunned run up to them and finish them before they recover.

Resume normal camera angle:

If you are using L2, R2 or both to look around then lightly tap either L2 or R2 to resume normal camera angle.

To put an item down:

If you are carrying an item (Rock, Septer, Pole e.t.c) then hold L1 & press Square to put it down.

Get EVERYTHING just before you fight kain for the final time:

That way you have all the advantages the game has to offer.

For a slow gliding descent:

If you are gliding then hold R1 for a slow glide descent.

Fire doesn't hurt Raziel:

In the game you will come across bonfires and Raziel can walk right through them.

Don't fall off a cliff while fighting:

While fighting you can fall off cliffs but your enemies can't, unless you throw them off or use the Telekinetic Projectile.

Raziel can't crawl off a cliff:

While crawling raz can't fall off of not only cliffs, but also edges of platforms.

The fire reaver & Projectile makes a GOOD combo!:

Because when you use the projectile on an enemy it burns them.

Raziel can tell where enemies are:

He automatically looks at them! Or by holding R1 he automatically faces them. Sometimes you can hear an enemy.

Sharpen Raziel's talons:

Don't do anything for a while and Raziel will sharpen his talons on the floor.

Tell when a block is in it's right place:

A little "click" noise should sound when a block is pushed in the right place.

Pictures help:

Whenever you see a picture of something Soul Reaver, Fire Reaver, lines around something, a big circle e.t.c,
then that is trying to tell you to use that particular weapon/ability on it.

The Elder God & Ariel are helpful:

After resuming a saved game go to the platform with an aura/mist around it in the very first room, the Elder God will tell you what to do and where to go. In the sanctuary of the clans (Where you first fight Kain) there should be a circle on the floor with a mist/Aura around it, stand on it and Ariel will tell you what to do and where to go.

The game has a good memory:
ONLY glyphs obtained in one game are still there if you quit, then start a new (not a saved) game.

One of the Torches falls to the ground:
In the same room as Melciah's Teleportation portal there is a Torch that falls to the ground when you Side-step from the Dead to the Living plane, or sometimes the other way 'round.

Don't reave souls if you are at full energy, or have the soul reaver:
Not only is that a waste of time, but you'd be better off letting them go off into the dead realm for when you really need to top up on souls.

Zephon in the spectral realm:
This more of a bug/glitch......whatever type cheat. Anyway when you are fighting Zephon side-step, kill and reave a Vampire Wraith while facing where Zephon is supposed to be, while reaving the Wraith Zephon should fade into view, then fade out again.

Kill the first Dumahim EASY:
First of all you have to start a game with the Projectile ability, when you get to the part with the two Dumahim eating a guy, immediately after the cut-scene/F.M.V/Mini-movie........whatever thingy, fire a projectile & you should automatically impale one on a wall-spike.

Hear two Dumahims get impaled whenever you want:
Again this is a bug/glitch type cheat easter egg thingy, just before Raziel's teleportation gate you fight two Dumahim in a courtyard with two wall spikes, impale them both, go activate Raziel's teleportation gate, use it to go anywhere, immediately return and head back to the stairs next to the gate, you should hear one or two "Shlunks" -
The sound of the Dumahims getting automatically impaled - (Mwahahahaha!)

One Sluagh usually runs away, usually:
Be careful though sometimes one might develop a 'tude.

Melciah's the coolest death in the whole game:
I don't want to spoil it for you, buuuuuuut, ah what the hell!
HE GETS MINCED!

You can constrict a corpse:
It is possible, although it won't do a single thing.......at all!

Meet Dumah in the Spectral plane:
Immediately after you enter his room and see a cut-scene about him being "Stuffed like a Pig" Side-Step and Dumah should be standing right in front of you, walk up to him and you will have a completely different conversation than normal.
He should then start chasing you, but you have to be in the Materiel plane to kill him.

My Dreamcast keeps resetting itself!:
That doesn't really have anything to do with Soul Reaver, but fortunately I had that exact same problem
and I found out how to fix it!
