Marcus is a Wheaten

Fun Facts:

This page is dedicated to a loveable, sweet soft-coated wheaten terrier who is just as handsome as can be. He was born April 20, 2001, so he is about 7 months old in this picture.

Marcus is a boy.  In Ottowa, he and his littermates were known as Faith, Hope and Charlie.

He was named for Marcus Aurelius, the wise emperor in last year's blockbuster film Gladiator.

Marcus graduated from puppy class 09/29/2001.  We might even enter him in agility trials.

Mike's allergist recommends the wheaten because the oil from their skin is milder than most dogs.

More about my pet:

Marcus was born in Ottowa, Ontario. He flew twelve hours on June 22, 2001 all the way to Oregon to come live with us.  He has a tatoo on his tummy registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (FJI3L).

Tricks: Marcus can dance and give high-fives. He has recently mastered roll-over.

Marcus' litter mates have new names and new homes.  Shannon went to a wonderful couple just north of San Francisco.  They lost their 10-year-old wheaten to an attack from another animal a month ago.  Ciinora (pronounceed kee-nora) is in San Francisco with a good friend of the breeders, Robyn and Shari.

- Marcus doesn't like cats. - Marcus doesn't like to be left behind. - Marcus doesn't like to stay in the car. - Marcus doesn't like automatic doors. - Marcus doesn't like the vacuum cleaner, the carpet srubber, or even the mop.  (Neither do I, actually.)
