Samuel Moss Solomon (Moss Isaac3, Solomon2, Emanuel-ben1) was born about 1769 in London, England, and died 15 May 1842 in Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: Burial certificate number: 1445 vol 159).
He married (1) ELIZABETH (Betsy) MOSES on the 30th October 1793 at the Great Synagogue, London, England. (Ref: Great Synagogue records). She was born about 1772 in London, England and died before 1815 in London, England.
He married (2) ESTHER DAVIS on the 23rd December 1815, London, England. She was born 31st December 1774 in Hammersmith, London, England, and died 13th July 1875 in Norwood, Adelaide, Sth. Australia (Ref: Book/Page: 67/439) aged 100 years & 6 months.

Samuel Moss Solomon (Hebrew name - Shemayah) was born about 1770, possibley in London, England. He was the son of Moss Isaac Solomon
(Hebrew - Moshe Fidshil Faya) and Julia Moses. Samuel was a Pencil Maker, and had a factory in Spitalfields, London, England. He was known as 'Shlomo the Pencil Maker'. An inscription on a silver snuff box, still in possession of family in Australia reads "S Solomon the original black lead pencil  nos 30 Wentworth St Spitalfield" View the Snuff Box 'HERE'
Samuel Moss Solomon arrived in Sydney (24th Apr 1833) on the ship 'Enchantress' from Hobart which stopped in Hobart (17th Apr 1833) on its way from England. The Solomon family were a family of 12 when the ship reached Hobart. Only three of them, Samuel, Hannah & Elizabeth continued to Sydney on the same ship. The other family members must have stayed in Hobart Town and travelled onto Sydney later.
Apparently there is an advertisement thanking the captain, placed in the Hobart Colonial Times following the arrival, by Isaac Solomon with a family of 12.

It is said but not proven that Samuel Moss Solomon & Betsy Moses had 11 children. I have listed the eight children we have sourced information for. The
other three unproven children may be named Annie, Saul, Simeon or Jacob.

MOSS SOLOMON, Born in 1796 in London, England and died on the 3rd February 1849 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Ref: V184936 136). He married (1) ELIZABETH (Betsy) MYERS in 1818 in London, England.
He married (2) LEAH MYERS about 1830 in London, England.

VAIBEN SOLOMON, born about 1798 in London, England and died 21st June 1860 in Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: V1860204 136). He married MARY (Sarah) SMITH on the 3rd June 1826 in St Philips (Church of England), Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (Ref: V18263796 3B/1826).

SUSAN SOLOMON, born about 1799 in London, England and died on the 15th June 1885 in Adelaide, South Australia (Ref: Book/Page: 147/124). She married MOSES BENJAMIN in 1822 in London, England.

EMANUEL SOLOMON, born about 1800 in London, England and died on the 3rd October 1873 in Adelaide, South Australia (Ref: Book/Page: 1/164).
He married (1) MARY ANN (Rachel) WILSON on the 6th November 1826 in St Philips (Church of England), Sydney, New South Wales

He married (2) CECILIA SMITH in 1844 at St Andrews Presbyterian, Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: V18441915 76/1844 & V18443854 74B/1844).
He married (3) CATHERINE ABRAHAMS in 1852 at Temple Tavern, Adelaide, South Australia (Ref: Book/Page: 14/236).

HANNAH SOLOMON, Born in 1801 in London, England (IGI Ref. 47050531) and died in the June quarter of 1850 (Jun quarter 1850 COHEN Hannah East London Vol 2 Page 125). in East London, England. She married BENJAMIN SAMUEL COHEN about 1818 in London, England.

SARAH SOLOMON, born about 1808 in London, England and died on the 14th March 1893 in London, England. She married MICHAEL JOSHUA on the 24th August 1826 at the Great Synagogue, London, England.

PHILIP SOLOMON, born between 1807-1810 in Spitalfields, London, England and possible death in 1876 in Islington, London, England (SOLOMON Phillip age 68 District Islington Volume1b Page 215 September 1876). He married SARAH PHILLIPS in 1833 in Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: Hebrew Ref: V18333 135/1833).

ESTHER SOLOMON, born Abt. 1809 in London, England and died on the 3rd December 1869 in Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: 1422/1869). She married ISRAEL MYERS in 1832 at the Great Synagogue, London, England.

ISAAC SOLOMON, born on the 5 April 1816 in London, England (Ref: family book of records owned by a descendant in Australia) and died 27 July 1901 in Melbourne, Australia (Regno 7998). He married ISABELLA SOLOMON on the 15th June 1842 at the Bridge Street Synagogue, Sydney, NSW, Australia
(Ref: V184251 135/1842).

ELIZABETH SOLOMON, born 1821 in London, England and died on the 9th February 1898 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (Regno: 4525).
She married MICHAEL CASHMORE on the 9th December 1840 at the Great Synagogue, Sydney, NSW, Australia (Ref: V184037135/1840).
