The Solowolf Pack kitties....
Every bit as special and valuable as our canines. Some feel the ancient Egyptians were right, cats are gods to be revered. I tend to agree.  ;) True, cats don't bolster the human ego, so many people (especially guys) dislike them...but maybe there's good reason that cats don't worship us! Wolves are just as independent and self-aware as cats. It has alot to do with the lack of complete domestication, I think.  :-)
Wanna hear what my literary hero Lovecraft had to say about cats? Go
here.
This is Jazper, AKA Jaz, AKA Big Man. If a cat can be a soulmate, this guy was mine. I've known & loved some very special cats in my life, but don't think I've ever been closer to anything in the world than I was to Jaz. He was every bit as regal as he looks here. but he was alo a LOT of fun...he was brilliant, he'd fetch a ball (see pic on right), do pretty much anything or go anywhere with me, & he was an excellent hunter. We lost Jaz from this world on Xmas Eve, 2001...but he still keeps me company in my heart.
This is Kenya Goldeneyes. He was the most loving cat...Kenya just rolled with the punches. Everything was fine with him.He learned to speak dog, and would both correct the rowdy ones with a muzzle grab & bite, and console the frightened rescues by rubbing up against them & telling them it was going to be ok. He would whoop up on insolent puppies, too--see right pic. Kenya was also one helluva hunter, and would work as a team with Jaz. They certainly kept the vole, lizard and bug population down! Kenya lost his fight with FeLeuk over the Thanksgiving holdays, 2002, and his smiling face is still very sorely missed.
This big guy (& I do mean big!) is Treasure...and he is aptly named. This boy is royalty through and through...and, along with Maheono the wolfer, possesses the most incredible, true sense of humour I've ever seen in a critter. Treasure likes to mess with us; he can also open doors, and use the Jedi Mind Trick on us. Treasure is the King of our current cast of cats (which also include a visiting mama cat & her two babies, Pendi & Stitch, who will probably both be staying with us for good...plus our resident rehabbed feral cat, Farron).
Even the kitties get a Page two :-)
