Trip to Inverness Temple and Homosassa Springs Park

Saturday, January 13, 2007

We two families traveled for about 190 miles from Tallahassee, FL to the Sai Center in Inverness, Florida. We left around 7:45 AM and reached about 11:15 AM driving mostly in Route 27. The day was a pleasant one until we reached Inverness when it became bit cloudy. We were at the center for about 2 hours. We did an archana and said prayers. The center has all deities in addition to Sai Baba. We had lunch courtesy of the devotees' generosity.

Then we realized that we are very close to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Homosassa. Our family had been there almost two years ago. So we decided visit the Park again. We took the tram and reached the Park. We saw manatees, Florida alligators, Florida panther, black bears, flamingos, American bald eagles, and multitudes of birds, and a hippopotamus.

Then we had coffee left for home around 4:15 PM and reached home around 7:30 PM. It was a nice trip.
