Amber walked into the dance with Jeff, Bianca and Steven. Most of the people had arrived and were on the dance floor. Amber scanned the room for Alexa but found her nowhere.

    "Remember Amby you're here to have a good time,"said Jeff. Amber smiled and nodded. A few people gave her and Jeff strange looks as they walked to the dance floor. Will and David all ready had a group of people dancing and they were in the middle trying to break dance.

    "Oh c'mon guys, I'll show you how to busta move,"said Jeff pushing past people to get to them. Amber smiled as they goofed around making everyone laugh, Bianca came up beside her with Steven. Jeff looked over and grabbed both of their hands pulling in. Jeff took Amber and Will took Bianca's hand. The guys started grinding with the girls too see who could get the most response. Bianca tapped Amber's shoulder and smiled, Amber nodded and knew exactly what would make
people scream, they both pulled away then started grinding with each other.

    "Oh yeah,"yelled Jeff wrapping his arm around Amber's waist and started grinding with her from behind. Bianca slowly let go and made her way back to Steven. Amber turned and went back to grinding with Jeff.

    "Well you seem to have accomplished your mission,"said Amber,"Within five minutes you've got me smiling and having fun."

    "Knew I would,"smiled Jeff. Amber just smiled and pulled away, she started making her way through the crowds looking for other friends. Just then someone grabbed her shoulder, Amber quickly turned to come face to face with Alexa and Adrian, both of them had there arms crossed and those killer looks on their faces. Amber sighed and took a defensive stance to them.

    "So where's the trailer trash Amber?"asked Alexa,"Or do ya just use him for fucking and Jeff's the throphy date?"

    "Oh fuck you Alexa, did you get the message when I threw your sorry ass off my property?"asked Amber. A few people had stopped and turned to see what was happening.

    "You know Amber we thought you had class,"said Adrian,"Or at least enough to know not to go slumming it."

    "What jealous you couldn't get me?"asked Amber,"And look at you, you ice hearted bitch no wonder you never can keep a boyfriend."

    "What's going on?"asked Jeff as he stepped in front of Amber with Will and David at his side.

    "Just having a lovely conversation with trailer trash,"said Alexa smirking.

    "Ya know what lay the hell off,"said Jeff,"Why don't you two just go home and stop making trouble. We came here to have fun, we don't need this bullshit." Jeff turned and grabbed Amber's hand, the two of them walked away leaving Alexa and Adrian to look like idiots. He pulled her over to Will and David.

    "Don't let her wander away, she's all ready starting shit with Alexa. I'll be back in a second,"said Jeff. Amber watched as he quickly exitted the gym.

    "So what did ya do?"asked Will,"Kick her ass again. Man, Dave, ya shoulda seen her last night."

    "Oh shut up,"said Amber crossing her arms,"Where did Jeff go?"

    "Dunno,"shrugged David. Just then Bianca came rushing up to Amber.

    "Oh my god have you heard?"asked Bianca.

    "No what?"asked Amber,"Bia, what's up?"

    "Today AJ showed up at school, Adrian got up in his face, the two of them kinda scrapped it out in the hall but Mr.Evans caught them. Suspended AJ and let Adrian off, well from what I've heard, they're suppose to go at it again after the dance,"said Bianca,"Only Adrian's got the whole basketball team backing him."

    "Oh fuck,"muttered Amber,"Why the hell does everyone wanna kill us?" Bianca gave her a strange look then hugged her.

    "So AJ is here?"Amber whispered softly into Bianca's ear.

    "I guess, or he'll be here by the end of the dance," said Bianca pulling away.

    "Ya know if this night could get any better I swear to god it would,"said Amber.

    "Don't worry babe, AJ's got the football team backing him,"said Will,"Give me ten minutes."

    "What?"asked Amber,"You barely even know him."

    "I know he loves you, you love him and that's all that matters to us,"said Will,"Now David and I got some stuff to get together." Amber watched as Will and David started shifting through the crowd.

    "Where are they fighting?"asked Amber.

    "Back parking lot I would guess,"said Bianca shrugging. Amber nodded then walked towards the exit, she walked through the halls towards the back parking lot. As she came tot he back exit doors she regreted her decision, the harsh November cold hit her and all she was wearing was a mini skirt and a tube top. She crossed her arms trying to stay as warm as she could, she jogged up to the back parking lot and looked around. A dim light flooded in from the field lights.

    "AJ,"hissed Amber walking to the middle of the parking lot,"Goddamn him and everything. And fuck it's cold."

    "Need a jacket?" Amber almost fell over in shock as she heard a voice behind her.

    "Oh fuck,"yelled Amber turning around,"What the hell, is this like kill me day?" Amber's eyes set upon a guy sitting on the back of a car, a cigarette in hand. He had a black baseball cap on backwards, a large white and grey ski jacket on with black jeans.

    "Sorry didn't mean to scare ya," Amber squinted.

    "Do I know you?"asked Amber.

    "Nick, Nick Carter,"said Nick,"AJ's friend, we met at Starbucks."

    "Oh yeah,"smiled Amber,"Is AJ around?"

    "Should be here soon,"said Nick,"He heard Jesse was planning to get you tonight because she knew you two would be part for sure."

    "What?"asked Amber.

    "Jesse knew AJ wouldn't come to this dance, but you would. Perfect target,"said Nick taking a drag,"Still need that jacket?"

    "Are you gonna be cold?"asked Amber.

    "I got 3 sweatshirts on under here,"said Nick taking off his jacket,"I think I'll be fine." Amber took the jacket and pulled it on. It came down to her knees and close to six inches too long in the arm.

    "Is AJ fighting Adrian tonight?"asked Amber.

    "The prep fuck?"asked Nick,"Yeah, why the fuck do you think I'm here. That shit head's gonna get his little jock friends to keep his back because he knows on his own AJ would kill him." Amber nodded and looked around.

    "And Jesse?"she asked her voice was shivering from the cold.

    "Will more than fucking likely show up,"said Nick,"But don't worry, we won't let anything happen to you. Especially me,if I did AJ would have my fucking balls on a platter." Amber nodded as she pulled herself up on to the car next to Nick.

    "Go an extra smoke?"she asked.

    "Inside pocket,"said Nick. Amber reached into the jacket and felt a pack in the breast pocket of the jacket, she slipped her hand in and pulled out a cigarette and a lighter. She quickly lit her smoke then handed the lighter to Nick who pulled the cigarette from behind his ear out.

    "Ya know you would be the last person I would ever expect to fall in love with AJ,"said Nick taking a puff from his cigarette,"You've changed him, he's got something to live for." Amber smiled, everytime AJ was mentioned she had a warm feeling come over her. Just then they seen an old seventies Chrysler speed into the parking lot and came to hault in front of them. The two front doors flew open quickly and two men got out of the front.

    "Barbie,"said AJ,"Get back inside now."

    "What? Why?"asked Amber hopping down from the car.

    "Just get back in the school now,"said AJ grabbing her arm. Amber pulled back and looked at him strange. She slowly pulled off Nick's jacket and handed it back to him then walked back to the school.

    "Barbie,"yelled AJ running up to her,"Go to the front, now, run."

    "Why?"asked Amber stopping her tracks to face him. AJ sighed then looked at her.

    "Because within five minutes Jesse will be here with a buncha guys and they just finished hacking the crap out of my buddy Howie about a half an hour ago,"said AJ,"You could be next."

    "But what about you?"asked Amber.

    "We're getting the hell outta here,"said AJ,"When Adrian or whatever the fuck his name is comes out here he can deal with them instead of me." Amber nodded then hugged him.

    "Be careful,"she muttered.

    "I will,"said AJ before pressing his lips to hers. For them the moment seemed to last forever but they were broken by the sound of the car horn.

    "McLean, get your ass moving,"yelled Nick.

    "Call me, whenever you can doesn't matter what time,"said Amber before AJ pecked her cheek then ran to the car.

    "I will,"yelled AJ before he got into the car. Amber turned herself and started quickly for the front of the school. She was able to get back into the dance with some convincing the student president. Once she was back in the gym someone grabbed her arm from behind.

    "Where the hell did you go?"yelled Jeff.

    "Outside,"said Amber,"AJ, he left."

    "Where, what, Amber explain,"said Jeff before pulling her back out into the hall.

    "Okay I went outside because Bianca said that Adrian got in a fight with AJ today and they were suppose to fight after the dance. So outside I ran into Nick, he's a friend of AJ's and he said that there's this girl Jesse, AJ and I have a few problems with her or whatever anyways she's coming after him with a buncha guys looking to kick the shit out of him or something. So they took off and when Adrian goes out he'll meet up with Jesse and they'll kick his ass,"said Amber. Jeff sighed and ran his hand through his hair.

    "Amby, next time you go to fall in love, make sure it's with a guy that's a computer nerd,"said Jeff. Amber smiled and snickered as she hugged Jeff. Oh god I hope he makes it through tonight alive, thought Amber as she thought about AJ.

    "Ya wanna go home?"asked Jeff. Amber nodded with her head against his shoulder. Jeff slowly shifted her to his side and wrapped his arm around her shoulders holding her close. They walked to the coat check and quickly recieved their jackets then walked out to the large white and black limo they had come in. Amber rested her head against Jeff's shoulder as he grabbed a bottle of wine from the small cooler. Not even bothering for a glass he popped the cork and drank straight from the bottle. Amber took it from him and took a few gulps herself.

    "I don't wanna go home,"she moaned,"I just wanna drive around."

    "Well we got the thing til three in the morning,"said Jeff,

    "I'm game if your up for it."

    "Sure why not,"mumbled Amber taking another sip.
