6 months later
Cori lowered her sunglasses to her eyes, getting off the plane. Breathing deeply she let the warm air of Florida fill her lungs. With a smile she walked into the airport and got her bags. Looking around she noticed a chauffeur holding a sign with her name. She smiled brightly and introduced herself, being taken to a limo.
“Talk about a warm reception.” She whistled
After a thirty minute drive, the chauffeur pulled into a gated community. He opened the door and helped Cori out.
“Thanks.” She smiled, looking around.
“Cori!” an excited yell brought her attention to the house in front of her.
“Lexy!” she exclaimed meeting her friend in a tight embrace
“I missed you!”
the brunette smiled, pulling at the redhead’s hand “Come on, the guys want
to see you!”
“My bags!”
Cori laughed and let Lexy pull her into the house.
“We’ll get them later! Come on! Yo, guys! Look who’s here!” she screamed at the people in the backyard. Cori realized they were having a barbecue.
“Cori, my dear! So nice to see you!” AJ came to hug her wearing a ridiculous apron and cook hat.
“J, what the hell is that attire?” she laughed when he let go of her
“What? You don’t like?” he pouted
“Uh, sure I do. Hey, Brian, Leigh.”
“Hey, sweetie. Glad you could make it.” Brian greeted her with a peck on the cheek
“Cori, nice to see you again.” Leigh smiled offering a small hug
“SHORT STUFF!” Nick came jogging with Kevin trailing behind, with Kristin.
“Blondie! Still incredibly annoying I see.” She chuckled hugging him back
“What can I say? You bring out the worst in me.” He grinned.
“Hey Cori, how are you?” Kevin hugged her, pulling at his wife’s hand “Cori, this is Kristin, my wife. Kristin, this is Cori.”
“Hey.” The blonde smiled
“Hi. So,
is everyone ready for the wedding?”
“As ready as I’ll
ever be.” Brian smiled, kissing Leigh’s forehead lightly.
“I think I’m gonna go crazy. I never thought getting married was so hard. I’d have gone nuts if Lexy hadn’t been here.” Leigh shot a smile in her friend’s direction.
“Where’s D?”
“He’s away, but he’s coming for the wedding tomorrow.”
Cori watched with great interest as Nick dropped a hand on Lexy’s waist and pulled her to his side, kissing her head softly. She smiled and kissed his lips, resting her head on his shoulder.
“Uh, is there something going on I don’t know about?” she nodded towards the two of them
“Oh, whoops. Did I forget to tell you Nick and I are dating?” Lexy gave her an innocent look
“Yes, you did!” she glared at her friend. “Man, did you really have to pick the most annoying Backstreet Boy, Lexy?” she whined with a smile, getting a glare from Nick.
“She’s ruining my reputation, Lex!” he pouted
“Hey! Leave my man alone, Cori! He doesn’t need any help with that!”
Everyone laughed as Nick gasped
“You’re supposed to help me here, Alexandra!”
“I thought I was!” she grinned and jumped back when she saw the look on his face.
“Nick, come on... no, baby you don’t wanna do that. Nick, no!” she laughed as Nick picked her up and threw her on the pool. Everyone followed them, laughing at their antics as Lexy pulled Nick into the pool when he tried to help her out. Cori let out a laugh, and looked at AJ when he pulled her to his side.
“Welcome to the Backstreet family, baby.” He smiled, dropping a kiss on her cheek.
