“No, Kevin. You know I’m not into the one night stand thing. Plus she can’t be older than three. And three years ago I already was with Leigh. I found her on a alley down the beach. I already took her to a doctor and he said she is very healthy.” Brian answered.
    Kevin stood there, looking at the little girl, not knowing what to say or do. She was a beauty. Would surely break lots of hearts in the future. Then he thought about why she was here. Anger built inside him. How could someone do that to a innocent little child. His senses came back to him and he turned to his cousin who was looking at him expectantly. Brian shook his head.
    “How could someone do that to her?”
    “I was thinking the same thing. Humans can be so mean to each other.”  Kevin said.
    Brian only nodded. Kevin remembered why he was there in the first place. Looking over at the couch he turned to his cousin.
    “We have to take her to the social care. Maybe someone is looking for her.”
    “Yeah. I guess we should.” Brian trailed off. If Kevin didn’t know better he’d think Brian wasn’t telling him something.
    “What is it Bri?” he probed
    “Um... well, I uh. You’re gonna love this Kev. If nobody is looking for her.... um” his cousin stumbled in his words.
    “Cut to the chase. What is it?” Kevin asked although he already knew the answer. And that sure wasn’t an answer he wanted to hear.
    “I wanna keep her.”
