Proverbs 7:1
My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
( Ah
true life is found in his word, true substance and true significance can only be found in him and through him)
" for the spirit of life hath set me free from the law of sin and death"
3   Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

( In other words in everything that we do, everything we say, every thought we entertain, it should all be done in the context of our knowledge and love of God, for his word and his promises should be a daily part of our life, should be the guiding factor in all our decisions, we should not only long for but cling to his every word and presence, we should be so close to his word and presence that's others notice the similarity to him in us, so close that we are literally blood kin, in resemblance, in word, in deed,  and in spirit!)

5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

( Sin indeed is and should be considered strange! yes you see this woman, this temptation, this alluring sin, is not always someone that you see physically as much as it may be what you do physically, and see spiritually? no it may not be a literal person but the very idea or thought of some form of sin that plagues and tempts you, so watch out for the flattering words, for sin always sounds good but notice that the Word protects us from sins destruction..)

6  For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,  7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,  8  Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,  9  In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

( yes isn't that like sin it is always cloaked in a disguise, in darkness, it hides till the trap is sprung, it disguises itself in beauty and attraction, in nice and soothing sounding words, it offers glamour and glitter but only leaves u in the gutter and garbage of life's unwanted mistakes and failures, in the end it will leave you in the dark, without light and without hope, but Jesus said " I will never leave you nor forsake you.." )  10  And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.  11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:  12  Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

(we must be careful of our steps and decisions for sin is everywhere waiting to destroy you )

1
3  So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
14  I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
(Yeah sin tells you everything has already been paid for but what you do not know is that the interest is out of this world literally = hell )
15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
( " be sure your sin will find you out!" )
16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.  17  I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.  18  Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.  19  For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
20 He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed.

( Ah that's sin alright it will lie to you to entice you, it sounds sweet and comforting, sometimes even smells sweet, it offers fulfillment and satisfaction, completion and wholeness, but only leaves you empty and hungering for more, feeling guilty and shamed, yeah it will say to you come on nobody will know? nobody will find out, it wont cost you anything but your time, come on just one time, try it you'll like it, look nobody's looking? you deserve it, hum don't be fooled by the rhetoric its all a lie! and sin will cost ! )

21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
22  He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;  23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. 24  Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25  Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.  26   For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.

( YES it has done its damage to many! too to many, to many people think they can play with sin or with its temptation.
To many walk to close to the allurements of sin, and when it wounds you it goes in for the kill, it has no pity, no barriers, no preferences.

It takes the high and the lowly, the rich n poor, in the end it will cost u more than you wanted, let me give you a case in point..
A young man struggles with pornography and neglects his family and beautiful wife, takes them for granted, and eventually try's to find physical stimulation in others out side his marriage.
Though he may not have committed adultery outright it tried to get in his heart, and in the end it cost him his marriage, his family, his loving wife, his ministry, his faith and possibly soon his salvation?

Oh what a price to pay for the unfulfilling promise of sins allurement, you see even the thought of sin could still cost you though you may not act it out literally?
" whatsoever things are pure... think on these.."
27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

REFLECTIONS:
The words of the Lord are words we can stand on! words we should believe and live by.
Treat with respect, honor and dignity, do you long for the word or the world? Its about respect, but we cannot respect what we take for granted, we cannot love what we deny.
we cannot honor and cherish that which we do not hunger for! but that's just it sometimes we hunger for the wrong things in life, for sin rather than the Son, but we do not realize that sin is a lie, is a trap.

Its consequences painful and destructive, its mask a facade, underneath lies shame, sickness, divorce, disease, death and despair..
" for he that soweth to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption" but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting "
The flip side of sin is not fun but failure! the roadmap to success and true contentment is found in the biblical instructions given us thru his word..

But to many times some choose to make their own roadmap and follow their own path as determined by their own selfish motives and human understanding, thereby relying on self rather than God.

A PRAYER:
Oh Daddy did you know you are my everything! I adore you!
I magnify my voice unto you! Glory to God, my Lord and savior.
Jesus oh how I long for your presence once again, for your touch anew, and afresh glimpse of your glory.

Blessed be the Lord, yes again my needs are many but my God is great!
And daddy unfortunately there have been times to many to be exact when I have fallen and been led astray by sins allurements.
Oh how I should never have listened to the lies please forgive me, please restore me, please help me, lift me up into thy presence and power, and though I am beset with so many obstacles and trials, hurts and pains.
I also realize to myself 'How great thou art! Yes you are greater than my failures, my faults, my sins, my persecutors, my trials, my temptations in everything thou art my refuge and my shelter.

My God in whom I will trust, father lead me in thy paths of mercy and truth, forgive all my sins, and give me thy word for my delights, keep me from the destroyer, and for the times that I am not able to pray thank you daddy that there is an intercessor on my behalf.
For the times that I am not able to muster up a fight thank you that you have promised to fight my battles, for the times when I felt like letting go thank you my love for holding on despite my shortcomings.

And God forbid for the times when I was unfaithful thank you for being "
FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE" great is thy faithfulness... so as I close I lift up holy hands and proclaim blessed be the name of the Lord! AMEN
