Est 5:11  And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
Est 5:12  Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.
Est 5:13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.

Hum another interesting thought here.. Did anybody notice something here about this Haman character?
He was honored and even invited to dine with the Queen and King. He was a man who had been elevated beyond others. He had power, influence, riches, family  and authority. YET notice vs. 13- He said “ all this availeth me nothing, as long as I see that Jew sitting at the kings gate? In other words as long as there was someone who would not recognize him or worship him, not accept his position and acknowledge respect towards him. He was bothered and angered, unsatisfied, in the end it bothered him so muchand he made so many mistakes and hateful gestures that it cost him his life. HELLO!

He had it all even more influence, power and riches than this lowly Jew he hated. Yet he was not satisfied with his position. He expected yea demanded respect and worship from all around him. Else he would not be satisfied otherwise.
What’s  wrong with this picture frens? Anybody notice his problem was that he got his self worth not from his position, not from his wealth, not from his family. But instead from the opinion and worth of others? He did have one thing right though, u cant and wont get ur satisfaction from ur position, ur wealth, ur family, ur vanity etc. Worth and satisfaction comes Only from ur position in Christ not ur position in this world.
His trouble or problem was he cared more about what others thought of him and about him, how others looked at him and treated him. This  was more important to him than his true position. Are we not like him at times? We have so much, we have family, a lovely faithful wife, a working dedicated husband, trouble free children, a job, a home, a good position at work and home, church, school, etc. Food to eat, some money in the bank, fancy clothes in the closet.  Yet in all this. We still find ourselves unsatisfied! Bothered cuz others will not recognize our position, our success, our worth? We have so much yet are so unfulfilled? So empty? Hey maybe its bcuz ur worth does not come from what you have, not from how others see you or treat you? But from who you are in Christ. A child of God, Ur worth comes not from what you can pay or do? Not from what position you have? But from what price God paid for ur sins and ur life? His SON’S life. The blood and pain he endured so you could be free and heaven bound.. That’s what gives u worth! Not one person can take that from you, no matter how much they gossip or ridicule you. Mock or deny you, doesn’t matter weather u are a lowly janitor, an Acct. executive, or weather u live in a penthouse, hollyweird or the ghetto, weather ur fat, skinny, ugly or beautiful, Someone loves you just the same.. ..   In other words you are a VERY SPECIAL AND VALUABLE PERSON.. AND SOMEONE LOVES YOU SO MUCH… just thought u should know that my FREN.
