| Why weepest thou?
Luke 7:11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. 12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. 17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. Reflections: Wow1 What a terrible loss! Just imagine to lose your only hope of salvation, your only hope of survival, your only love. Yes a reason to weep.. My my what a predicament. What a curse! What an opportunity, It’s all a matter of perspective. How you see things, how you believe things, how you handle things. Lets look at this widow once again, Did anybody notice that this was not the first time death came knocking at her door? Not the first time that death robbed her of her hope, her substance, her potential, her lasting love! She was a widow, hence she was all alone. Ever been there? You know death and trouble can be like that, so unmerciful, so cruel, so unkind, so unfair, so hurtful, so painful, so grievous! Hum... what a reason to weep. But there was something about this widow that got Gods attention, that caused God to send his only Son to redeem her and once again give her hope! Something that sent him her way, something that sent him to the backside of the city. To take the less traveled road, why? Could it have been her tears, her pain, her misery, her shame, her FAITH! her HOPE! her GOD! One things for sure He made it her way and the rest is His- story! Are you any different? Is your pain any less? Is your loss any less? your FAITH any less? Ah there may be the problem.. “ for without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is! and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” A PRAYER: Daddy you know I love you! You know I care! I’m so thankful, so in awe, your so good, so great, so merciful, so able! I pray that you will help me to believe even when its most difficult. Even when its most painful? Thank you Lord for the times when you came to my rescue. When you saw the danger I didn’t see, the pain others wouldn’t see, the needs others wouldn’t see, Oh to God be the glory! Thanks for coming my way, for going out of your way just for little O me. Oh how I hope I will never look past the hurts and problems of others. How I will believe for them when they cannot believe for themselves. And when I have to go through my trials and troubles I hope that I will let your glory shine. That I will still declare the goodness of the Lord. And when death comes knocking at my door let me be found at heavens door. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Jesus I pray that your truth would go out and be published through out our lost world. Thank you for caring enough to give your all my Lord... Amen Prepared by : George R. Nava 2170 E.
