Building A Trap Part Two
First of all, put your boards in the arrangement they will be on the finished trap, then get to drilling pilot holes, be certain to take care in how you line up the boards.  After you drill the holes, insert the screws.
The trap is basically a box frame with chicken wire on the outside.
You can see the screws on the corners holding the wood sandwiched together.
It is a very simple design, which allows you to build it in about two days.
This is without the door on the one side, however, the other side has been chicken-wired already.
The side on the left has the crab entrance and the other side has yet to be chicken-wired.
Next on the agenda, wiring the trap.
Ok, when you are ready to wire the trap, do the sides first, you can make these pretty quickly, just roll the chicken wire all the way around then fasten it to the frame with your handy, dandy craftwire.  It helps to bend the overlappping chicken wire around the end on the frame to help it stay on better.
Helpful Tip! Achtung! Chickenwire bites back!
