Skip a few years.
I went to Pitt State Univ (kansas) and got a piece of paper to show for it. Not wanting to get a job, i spent 2 years at FIT chasing a masters in oceanography.
When I found out the army would pay on student loans, I signed up for 4 years. My first station was in Germany. The first summer i was there we went to Bosnia, the next on to Kosovo. I finished my active duty in LA (that's lower alabama). I thought about staying there but that had more to due with a sweet young lady than alabama.
I kinda bounced around for a bit and when Dad died last year used that as an excuse to crash with mom (cheap rent) for a bit to help her out.
That takes me to where I am now. Working as a trim carpenter with a sideline sharpening service. Trying to get good enough blacksmithing to make that profitable, or at least defray the cost of the hobby.
