The Wedding Flowers!
The Bouquets etc
A wonderful florist who specialises in bouquets on natural stems did our flowers!
Bride's bouquet was a large ball-shaped bouquet of Champagne roses on natural stems with ivy and red hypericum berries!  It was wonderful!  A bit scruffy looking...as though it was picked from the forest!

The groom's buttonhole matched his bride's - there was no mistaking who he was in the wedding party!  He had a champagne rose, ivy and some hypericum berries.
Andrew's buttonhole
Bridesmaids had similar bouquets with deep red roses - I think they were the Black Magic variety.  They also had ivy and red hypericum berries in addition to hypericum sprayed black!

The best man had a red rose buttonhole with ivy and the black sprayed berries to match the bridesmaids.

Alex's dad had a white rose and ivy.

Alex's mum had a corsage of white roses, rosebuds and ivy.

The usheres had corsages of a white rose, ivy and red hypericum berries.

The Bear Bearers carried teddy bears instead of flowers!  The two girls each carried a bride bear and the boy carried a groom bear.  It may have looked a little strange with their Ukrainian outfits but we didn't care!

A traditional part of the Ukrainian costume is a wreath of colourful flowers on the head with coloured ribbons streaming down the back.  Each girl wore one of these (with artifical flowers) as part of her costume.
Church Flowers
The sisters at the church did a stunning job with the flowers!  There were many large urns of flowers mainly in white with some champagne!  It looked fantastic.  There were lillies, roses, gladioli and carnations among them.

Each pew was decorated with a large white rosette style bow with streamimg ribbons and a large white carnation.
