The Reception - Goona Warra Vineyard
7 October 2000
Goona Warra is a beautiful historic winery just 30 mins or so from the city.  It was built in the 1800s and it specializes in weddings and other functions - they take place in an original bluestone building!

The gardens there are breathtaking and the way the Cellar and Great hall are arranged give it such a cosy, romantic and sort of medieval ambiance!

The food was simply to die for!  Hors D'oeuvres were served with drinks on arrival although Andrew and Alex didn't get any of those!  At least the guests had something and that's the main thing.

Entree was caesar salad or smoked trout on toasted brioche with some caviar on top and salad on the side.

Main meal consisted of either herb and garlic marinated chicken on heavenly mash or a herb and parmesan crumbed veal on mash.  The veal came with some roasted tomatoes, eggplant jam and baby rocket on the side and a plate of freshly steamed vegies for the chicken

Dessert was either cointreau flavoured creme brulee with strawberries and a tuille biscut or mixed nut and caramel tart with chocolate.

After that coffee and tea was served with chocolates and shortbread biscuits.  The wedding cake was cut up and bagged for the guests to take home.
