Our Wedding Rings |
|
|
|
Our much loved wedding bands were bought separately so the issue of finding a matching band for Andrew after getting Alex's caused some angst but finally we found what we needed much to our relief considering the tight timeframe we had!
We were making plans to have bands made of a design we saw and liked when we found a one-off band for sale in a jewellry store! It wasn't at all what we were considering but it was perfect! Initially we decided we didn' like two-tone gold rings but this made us change our minds!
The ring we found had a curved yellow gold band mounted onto a flatter white gold band with 8 tiny diamonds evenly spaced in the yellow gold.
Since Andrew didn't find lots of little diamonds particularly appealing (or masculine!) we were on a mission to find him the same kind of ring without the diamonds.
We did! Well it's close enough. His white gold edging isn't quite as flat as Alex's but the match is almost identical!
It was important to us to have matching bands...even though they're not identical.
Andrew's ring has "Sasha 7 10 2000" engraved inside and Alex's has "Andy 7 10 00" engraved inside hers.
There are pictures of the rings below. one includes Alex's engagement ring. It's a fairly unusual ring. it has a brilliant cut diamond in a square setting. The corners of the square have been trimmed off so it's almost octagonal. |
