know about jealousy? 10407 Song Da som When I was fifth grade in elementary school I had a friend name Min. I was pretty confident student before I met her but, she changed my thoughts. First of all, she was so gorgeous her big eyes were stunningly attractive and her nose was one of the most elegant noses that I had ever seen before. It was natural to see that every boy in my class was desired to talk to her. Also, Min was outstanding student, every subject she did she got an A. More sadly, she was an excellent vocal ,dancer and artist. I was obsessively jealous of Min because I thought my self that she took all the attentions that I would have if she wasn't in my class. I was extremely upset for an entire year of my fifth grade. However, in other ways, Min encouraged me to catch her up. Since then, dealing with jealousy is the biggest goal that I need to practice, what is jealousy? Jealousy is a feeling that people want to keep or protect something that they have because it makes them feel proud. Also, a feeling of angry or unhappy because you wish you had something that somebody else has. Jealousy oftentimes come up with the envy. Envy occurs when a person lacks another person's superior , quality. achievement, or possession, and desires it ,or wishes that the other person lacked it. Adolescents Jealousy Many teens includes me wish to have good relationship with their friends. However, sometimes they feel that they can't trust their friends' faithfulness and promise and fear that their friends will betray them and have a new friend who are more interesting. Adolescents who are lonely or have low self-esteem more often perceive their friendships as threatened by peers, which may, in turn, lead them to behave aggressively. (M, DITTMANN) Basically , there is a great deal of negative behavior and aggression connected with jealousy. Generally, girls more easily feel jealousy than boys because girls expect more kindness, loyalty, commitment and empathy from friends than boys do. Adolescents with lower self-worth have greater weakness to jealousy. My main concern is that some teens immensely worry about their relationship , trying to keep friends and develop the relationship. I think they should know that they should more care about themselves because they seemed to they don't enjoy their lives. Good and bad side of jealousy. people see jealousy in a negative way, but jealousy is not all bad. A healthy jealousy occur in family relationship. This type of jealousy is a protective fight to maintain you relationship . For example, when a husband see that a person persuades his wife to have sexual intercourse. The husband will fight for his spouse. Also, people develop themselves when they are jealous of someone who are better than them . In my case, I studied English really hard to be better than my friend Min. Although I was upset about her ,being the most popular student in my school ,Actually I am now thanking her for eventually making me to go to International school which is a school that requires students to speak English. On the other hand, jealousy could bring many kinds of illnesses. Bible says jealousy decay the bonds in our body.(Phili) Most popularly melancholia. Melancholia is caused by hatred and jealousy.(Hwang) Most commonly, jealousy ruins heart ,stomach and other internal organs , making them to be unable to work regularly. Furthermore, jealousy can produce deadly cancer. Jealousy in Movie. In a movie "AMADEUS " There are two characters, Mozart and Salieri. Mozart is the greatest composer ever in history . His songs are very famous and attractive. Even little kids know his song and like his song ' the little star'. On the other han d, nobody remember salieri's work because he was not talented. Salieri always wanted to be like Mozart, but he could never be like a Mozart. Salieri became so jealous of Mozart. So eventually Salieri planed to make Mozart compose requiem indirectly through his servant .(Milos) As Salieri wanted , Mozart finally die after he compose his requiem. From this movie I realized that how much jealousy can affect us in bad ways. It can even kill people. However, most importantly Salieri had worst time after Mozart died because he felt that he killed Mozart. Jealousy in history. In ancient Greece, Greek people had a process name called 'ostracism' . Greek citizens ostracism some people for ten years out of Greece. The reason that Greek citizens ostracized some Greek people is that they were afraid of that people to be too powerful . So they wanted avoid any chance of having dictatorship.( Roger) Governer jealousy . Governers who are on high status they always say that they are not smart but say that they really worked hard. If they are being too be proud of themselves of too arrogant , some governers are going to really hate him or she .(Roger) Philosopher Roger bacon said that people who are smart and being arrogant make other people really jealous of them. So I recommend to some people who like to do say something about their good things. " be careful your friends!!" overcome jealousy? When we have jealousy we easily take it in wrong way . For example , they do not accept the fact their friends are better them , but just keep denying. When we in this situation again , we need face this truth and forget about friends and just try to more competitive ourselves. Sometimes I see people who just over look themselves and don't care about them . However, we need to go deep inside our heart and try to find what I really want to do and what I am really feeling .(overcome jealousy) I think it's better to not compare ourselves to friends because we can't really compare . Every individuals has different aspects , potential and personality. What we really have to do is just discovering us.(Joel 120) Conclusion I am had a serious jealousy problem when I was young and I still have. Through this pages I realized that I should not have any kinds of this feelings it just make me hard to live, doesn't help me at all.
