Partings

“That was perfect!” purred Sakura as
she gazed into the golden chalice holding her wine.
“Didn’t you just love how they begged for mercy!”
“It was hilarious watching those villagers try to
defend themselves against us!” laughed Daemon as
his black eyes sparkled in amusement.
“I wish I could see the look on Jade’s face when
she finds out we massacred one of her favorite
little villages.” Sakura said as her eyes came
to life with mischief and delight.
“Troops are beginning to move into the Western
lands, and the troops in the Northern land are
moving deeper into it as we speak.”
“I wish I could have gone with them,
I would love to have more blood on my hands.”
“Stop pouting! We have more important things
to do! Who’s blood would you rather have on
your hands, a peasant’s blood or a royals blood?!”
Daemon hissed as his black eyes showed his annoyance.
“A royals blood!”
“Then be patient! We need to be cautious if we want
to kill Jade and Sesshomaru!”
“Don’t raise your voice to me!”
“You need to stop complaining! I need to calm down
and think clearly before I tear you to pieces.
Tell me when you start thinking rationally!!”
“How dare you!!!”
“There is absolutely no possible way you can be a
cat demon, because you’re a total bitch!”
snarled Daemon as stormed out of the large
throne room and slammed the large doors.
“You BASTARD!” screamed Sakura as she threw
the golden chalice holding her wine at the closed doors.
“What the hell are you looking at?!” Sakura yelled at
the small servant she as she stormed out of the
opposite doors Daemon left out of.
The small servant that was serving the wine and was
yelled at by Sakura shuddered. “We’re not going to
die from the war, we’re going to die from those two
screaming at each other!”

“No survivors were found.” Jade told Sesshomaru
“I see. The attacks have begun.”
“I sent out soldiers to protect my villages
you should do the same.”
“Hm…”
“We’re going to need help. My father’s two closest
friends can help, I just have to find them.
I’m leaving tomorrow morning, and Sesshomaru…”
“Yes?” he said in a bored tone.
“Don’t do anything drastic until I return.”
Jade said as she walked through the doors.
‘Don’t do anything drastic? I won’t do anything drastic.’
Thought Sesshomaru as a smirk began to form on
his face, making him look positively evil.
‘ Except massacre a village or two in the
Southern and Eastern lands. After all, Sakura
and Daemon brought this upon themselves.’
Even though Sesshomaru acted like he didn’t
care about Jade’s going away, he was torn inside.
He wanted to tell her to stay, to not leave him alone again.
He kept silent though, his cold mask did not slip,
and Jade walked out of the door to begin her journey.

“So, you really are going to find Myouga and Tsuchi.
Jade, are you sure you do not want me to
accompany you?” asked Orphan
“Myouga was a dear friend to my father and an
extraordinary strategist. I know he will assist me
in my search for Tsuchi. After we find Tsuchi though,
I don’t know if Myouga will assist us any further.
He’s been traumatized my too many battles.
Now, I heard he runs away when the chances of
survival are slim.” Jade told Orphan.
“I need you to do me a favor.”
“Just name it.”
“Watch over Sesshomaru.”
“Why?”
“I know that he’s going to do something,
I just don’t know what.”
“I will.”
“Thank you my friend.” Jade said as her eyes
turned red, her claws lengthened, and her
large black wings unfurled from her back.
“Jade, when will you be back?”
“If I find them or not, I will return in seven days.”
“I see. Good luck and please be safe.”
Orphan said as Jade took to the sky.
When Jade was completely out of sight,
Orphan returned to the palace.
“Please return soon Jade.”
Whispered Sesshomaru as he watched her
until she was out of his sight.
He then returned to his plans of attacking the
Fuyuzora and Seishin villages in the
Eastern and Southern lands.
‘No matter how you act my Lord, you still love her.’
Thought Hayashi, General of the Western armies and
old friend of Inuyokai, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha’s father.
‘The both of never should have been separated,
but it had to be done. You are both stronger now.
You have a second chance to be together my Lord, take it.’
