I am a Missionary Baptist by choice. When God saved my soul I became a member of the family of God. I joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church because I believe they`re the nearest we have to the church which Jesus built during His personal ministry. In fact, I believe Missionary Baptist IS the church Jesus set up.
There are some fundamental doctrines we hold to exclusively. I felt a need to list some of them here and also give scripture for why we believe them. 1 Peter 3:15 says,"..be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."
1--A Spiritual Church:  Jesus was and is it`s founder, head, and lawgiver--Matt. 16: 18; Colossians1: 18
2--Salvation is by grace through faith. and it is Eternal!!--Eph. 2: 8& 9;Titus3: 5;John3: 3-7; 1Peter 1:3-5; Eph.4: 30; Jude v. 24;Rom. 8:35-39;John 10:28,29
3--Two Ordinances given speciificly to the Church: Baptism(typical of The Lord`s burial and resurrection) and the Lord`s Supper(memorial of Christ`s suffering and death). Matt. 28:19,20;1 Cor. 11: 23-26. Footwashing was an act of hospitality only, which Jesus used to illustrate humility(1 Tim. 5: 10; John 13:1-17) Footwashing is also a great example of the security of the believer---study about it.
3-- Two Officers were placed in the Church: Pastors( called of God, elected by the body) and Deacons(selected by the body). These are servants----not lords over God`s heritage (1 Tim.3:1- 16; 1 Peter5:1-3)
4--Government is pure democracy, it`s executive, not legislative. That means we obey the rules and standards Christ set down. We have no authority to make new ones.( Matt. 20: 24-28;Matt.23:5-12)
5--Laws and Doctrines: the New Testament; the Old Testament is History, Law, Poetry, and Prophecy( 2 Tim. 3:15-17; Luke 24: 44)
6--Members: Regenerated Believers Only---(Eph. 2: 21; 1 Peter2: 5)
7--Requirements: Baptism, not for salvation, but showing outwardly what`s happened inwardly. Showing forth the death of the old man and rising to walk in a newness of life. An experience of salvation: John the Baptist required they bring forth fruits meet for repentance (Luke 3: 8). Baptism is by emmersion: symbolizing burial and resurrection of Jesus. And then obedience and loyalty to New Testament laws (Matt. 28:19;Acts8:35-38; Acts16:30-34; Titus3: 8).
8--Independent Local Bodies: Separate and totally free of one another, yet bound together in the work of God and spreading the Gospel (1 Cor. 12: 20; Eph. 4: 4).
9--Separation of Church and State (Matt. 22: 21)
10--Absolute religious freedom for all. Jesus never has and never will force himself on anyone (Matt.28: 19; Matt.10: 14;Acts 13:51).

There are more, but maybe this will give you something to look over and study on for a while. May God Bless you is my prayer

What`s the difference? Isa.7: 14 says "Behold, a virgin shall concieve and bear a son,.."  The new translations of the Bible offered by the world say " a young woman " or " maiden." What`s the difference? I would suspect you know the difference. Not all young women or maidens are necessarily virgins, especially in this sinful, permissive society we live in today. A virgin is one who has never known, or been, with a man.
One might think it a small point, and no need to worry over. But the fact is, if you take away Mary`s virginity, you throw doubt on the very diety of JESUS. For if JESUS wasn`t of immaculate conception, He was not fit to be the supreme sacrifice for our sins. And so we are all lost.  See the difference yet?
  Some other notable differences--
Dan. 3: 25 says " the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."  The NIV, NASB, & NWT say " a son of the gods." ; the NRSV, REB, & LB--" a god", & NAB--" a son of God." What`s the difference?  John 3 : 16 says that God gave His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.
Col.1: 14 says, "...redemption, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins."  NIV, NASB, NRSV, REB, NWT,& NAB, all omit " through his blood."  Heb. 9: 22 says," without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin."  Without the blood, where would we get salvation? The modernists would have you to walk the aisle, make a decision, join the church, be baptized or simply live a good life. If you fall for that, you`ll wind up in Hell with those same modernists. JESUS` blood is the only cleanser of sin.
In Acts 8, Phillip, being led by the Holy Ghost, ran and joined himself to an Ethiopian who`d been reading from the book of Isaiah. And he preached to him about JESUS. In verse 36 the Ethiopian says, "Here`s water. what doth hinder me from being baptized?"
Verse 37--"And Phillip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the Son of God."
Verse 37 is omitted completely in NIV, NRSV, REB, & NWT. NAB omits the verse, but has the entire chapter renumbered to hide it.
I`m sure you can see the implications here, that baptism is a part of salvation, but it`s not. Rather it follows salvation, showing outwardly, what`s already happened inwardly. The old man of sin has died and the new man rises to walk in a newness of life. John the Baptist required fruits, meet for repentance. See Matt. 3: 8
My Bible is the King James Version. I don`t know Greek, Hebrew, or Aramic, but I know a God who has preserved His Word for thousands of years and He led men to translate it to English from the original texts. One might say, how do you know these new translations weren`t inspired too? Read them!!
When they deny the Diety of Christ, when they trample His blood underfoot, and teach salvation by works, they cannot be of God. He cannot and will not deny Himself. Read 2 Tim. 2: 13.
When you go to get a Bible for yourself, or a gift, shouldn`t you be aware of what it`s saying? Because it really does make a lot of difference. Remember, the devil only added one word to God`s when he tempted Eve in the garden. We need God`s word, plus and/or minus nothing.  May God bless.
