Family

In 1998, Oct.21, I married Shirley (Wallace) ODaniel.We live in Gleason, Tn.,where she had been for about 12 years. She had 2 children which seem to have taken to me. At least they put up with me. Now all of this is going to get complicated so hang on to something.
We were like 5th & 6th cousins to begin with, so her kids, my step-children, are my 6th or 7th cousins. It depends on which family line you look at. We`re kin through the Owen, Perry, and Wallace lines. Are we confused yet? Okay, it gets better.

You see these 2 gentlemen? The 1 on the left is Carl Lester Wallace. He`s my great grandfather. The other man is John
Calvin Wallace. Shirley`s grandfather and they`re brothers.

This young man on the right here is Andrew Miller Wallace (9/22/1837-8/27/1875). He is the father of John and Carl, making him Shirley`s great grandfather and my great great grandfather. This picture was made from a full-sized portrait which hangs in my living room. We haven`t got to the fun part yet, but it`s coming.

This lovely couple is James Henry Owen and his wife, Mary H.
Wallace. She is the sister of Andy Wallace. >
They had a daughter, Sallie Ann, who married Elijah Carroll Perry.

<Elijah C. Perry`s father was Elijah Perry. I don`t have a picture of him yet, but he was an early settler in Henry, Tn. He lived on a farm 4 mi. N. of Henry, & was married twice--to sisters.

The man in back is Willie Arthur Lawrence.He married Mary Jane Perry, the woman seated at his left arm,daughter of Sallie Owen Perry,seated at his right arm. On the far left is Carroll Lawrence,in the middle is Mary Thelma Lawrence, and on far right is Willie Novella Lawrence; children of Willie and Mary.
The baby`s name is Mary Frances.
Thelma Lawrence married Fred Mitchell Tucker. That`s them down there, as I remember them in my childhood. You see the baby, Mary Frances Tucker, married Dewey L. Owen in 1944. They (shown below), had 6 children. I was the 5th.

Daddy was # 2 out of 5 boys born to Euin L. and Essie Lee (Wallace) > Owen. There was Carlus, Daddy, Elzie Norman (died as an infant), Robert Lee, and William Wallace.
Euin`s father and mother were Rodolphus and Ruah Susan (Patterson) Owen. They`re pictured below in the old car.
Essie was one of four children born to Carl and Beulah Bell (Perry) Wallace ( the B&W picture). There was Louise, Essie, Hesker, and Lela.
Beulah Bell Perry was the daughter of John Perry, pictured below.
