Friday, 7th of January 2005 32wks pregnant and going well apart from lots of belly pains, back pains, heart burn and even some braxton hicks contractions. Kye how ever is doing very well. I just got over a stomach bug which made me lose a few kilo's but didn't affect Kye. I had my 32wk ultrasound today and this is the latest news.

OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUND: The foetus is vertex presentation back to the left at the time of examination. A BPD of 77mm, head circumference of 291mm, abdomen circumference of 278mm and a femur length of 64mm gives a gestational age of 32weeks +/- 12 days. Estimated delivery is around 03-03-05. A normal foetal heart rate of 130 beats / minute was recorded. The cord resistive index is normal at 0.6(norm less than 0.69) The amniotic fluid is normal at 17(norm5-25).

This is Kye at 32wks smiling. No sooner did he smile he then frowned in frustration. Since our 18wk ultrasound Kye has been obsessed with his hands and still is. He was even seen to be holding the placenta. I thought by now I'd catch him sucking his thumb or waving but I lucked out. So this is little man only 8 weeks to go until I can hold him in my arms. I am counting the days as a normal pregnant woman would. I also start antental classes Monday the 10th of January 2005 and I will let you know how I find them.

I went to my doctors for a check up Saturday 8th of January 2005. My blood pressure was normal and my weight is 93kg's two weeks before it was 91 due to me being sick with a stomach bug. She also listened with a doppler to Kye's heart beat and she said it was 144 beats / minute and strong. She is pleased with both of us and said that my pregnancy is going smoothly. I have to go back in two weeks after I have my last blood tests yay thank god that will be over. I think my doctor jinx me every time she says this pregnancy is going smoothly boom something else happens.

For example today Sunday, 9 January 2005 I've had severe asthma attacks I know I'm already asthmatic but I've never had attacks like this before. I had to have the nebuliser and I have to take my asthma puffer every 4hrs as well as antibiotics and maxalon. Doctor says I have two days to get better other wise it's hospital for me. As these attacks will endanger Kye as well as me and I may need an emergancy c-section. So hopefully I get better as I don't want a c-section and I want Kye's survival rate to be better then being born 8 weeks early.
