This is me at 40 weeks and One day in other words Kye is late. My due date was yesterday 10-03-05. This morning I had a hospital appointment and my blood pressure was up 150/80 due to lack of sleep. I also did a urine sample and all went well. The doctor preformed an internal and found I am only 1cm dilated so she preformed a stretch and sweep. Not the nicest of things I tell you and it was very much OUCH!!!

The doctor said she wants me to go to my gp to get my pressure checked so I booked for sunday hopefully its normal by then. She's booked me to come back friday to see if I am more then 1cm dilated if I am and my waters havent broken then she will break them. If I am still only 1cm dilated I am booked in Sunday 20-03-05 at 6pm for cervidal gel induction and it means I stay in hospital until after Kye is born. I will be posting again after I have Kye and have photo's.

Sunday 13-03-05 Kye is now three days late. I went to my gp and she checked my blood pressure it was 120/85 which is normal and she listened to Kye's heart even though he was being a little bugger and fussing about. Eventually she got it and it was nice and strong at 136 bpm's. I've booked to see her again Wednesday to make sure my blood pressure is fine.

Wednesday 16/03/05 My doctor said my blood pressure was normal, Kye's heart beat was fine and I've put weight on I am now 95kg's again. My urine was also fine as well. It's now just a wait until Friday's appointment at the hospital to see if I am more then 1cm dilated if so will they break my waters and if I am not definately induced Sunday night. I really hope I am more then 1cm dilated but who knows.

Friday 18-03-05 Kye is now one week and one day late. We went to our hospital appointment this morning and my blood pressure was a little up 130/80. The doctor did a urine sample and found I had protein in my urine and I'm still swollen so he said showing signs of preclampsia and sent me for a blood test. He said he'd ring at 3:00pm if the results came back as preclampsia which means I'd be admitted to have Kye out.

The doctor preformed an internal and found I was still only 1cm dilated and still a little bit hard so my waters wont be broken today instead most definately induced Sunday night and he rang birth suite and confirmed it. So it didnt turn out to be my day the hospital never rang back so my blood results must of been fine. So Sunday it is.

Saturday 19-03-05 10:05pm. If I wasnt scared about tomorrow night I'd be lying. I've never done this before and really dont know what to expect and I just hope it all goes well. I really hope tomorrow goes really quick so tomorrow night rolls around I get this labour and birth thing out of the way so I can finally have Kye in my arms. Today went pretty quick so who knows. I'll hopefully get a good night sleep cause I really need it as I feel tomorrow night is going to be a long night. I'll just keep my head up and smile I think.
