I arose to go to work after my usual 4 hours sleep and a vision came to me. A vision of a great quest. I will embark upon a great journey, a journey for Elvis sunglasses.

First off, I don't really even like Elvis. I just have always wanted some of those cool gawdy sunglasses of his. I have many times found them on the net and I had planned on ordering them with my credit card but still hadn't got around to it.

There was one place that I knew of, that had to have these special specs. The ELVIS is ALIVE Museum in Wright City, Mo. Dozens of times I had passed this place going to Kentucky over the years. It is about 40 miles west of St. Louis on I-70 with a huge Elvis and a white limo out front. That posed a problem though, It was 240 miles away!

The lack of money and the distance did not discourage me. I thought about it all day on friday and got the trip all planned out in my head. I was thinking about who would want to take this venure with me but everyone I asked either had to work or just didn't want to go because they thought it a 'stupid waste of time'. When this trip first came to me I really didn't see anyone going with me anyway. Just me and my dog.

After work I got home and pulled up some info on the museum and some other roadside attractions along the way. I had planned to get up early on Saturday morning but staying up late on friday made me get up a little late. I made some peanut butter sandwiches and gathered up my stuff and my dog and I embarked on our journey.
