Thoughts of People I've Observed at a Glance

‘Thank god its Friday...wait I’m going to be late? Oh crap…one minute. I’ll never make it!’
She sped up her pace, barely noticeable.

‘Finally time alone, just a second…one second…lunch shouldn’t be my retreat. I have too many classes this year and no time at all. I should sleep early tonight.’
He took a bite of his pizza and peered around the plaza.

‘Tomorrow I’ll be home, it could be tonight but I need the break, my parents would be proud.’
Strolling across the walk and down the stairs…

“It’s supposed to be in the mid sixties next week” “You’re enjoying the weather?” “…and taking a break from writing my paper.”

‘Nobody is looking. Is that bad or good?’
He note went slightly flat before she sang the next word.

‘I’m not stopping, I’m not stopping, I’m not stopping.’
She hurried her gait as she passed the guy she knew had an emotional power over her. She’s had a crush on him for the last four years.

‘Was it really B, I checked it twice it could have only been A, I studied for hours!’
Flipping through his exam he stopped mid-stride on the stairs to debate within himself.

‘Damn, I think I lost my glasses in the library.’
He checked his pockets frantically.

‘Maybe I won’t break up with him, I mean what’s the point when we’re comfortable.’
She gazed at the sky, slowly strolling the mall.
