The rumours flew, and the fans begged, but we finally got it. Another flick about Mewtwo. The Pocket Monster people are big on giving fans what they want (including, but not confined to, the return of Brock, and Jessie and James being kept on the show). Thus, as Monty Python would say, there was much rejoicing throughout the land. Here's what your fellow fans in America, Canada and Britain thought about the new film. This is what people all over the Internet had to say about ‘Mewtwo Returns!’ and ‘Myutsuu! Ware wa kokoni ari!’
“That eppi kicks ASS! Still, I don’t like some parts, some parts can just die ;-; “
-Pikacute
“ It deeply disturbs me that Satoshi gets buddy-buddy with Myuustuu. Dang, how many times can a kid save the world?….It seems like the Pokemon world's biggest bada$$ mellowed out. I guess spending all that time alone in the most tranquil place on earth will do that to a Pokemon. (Feh, I liked it better when Myuustuu was really, really ticked off at just about everything.)”
-Mabis
“Overall I really liked it!”
-Jigglypuff363
“Finally got it. pretty cool but the added background music gets annoying. I sorta miss the old Mewtwo theme that originally played at some parts”
-Silver Vaporeon
“There is so much about it that I think is so cool and it's got me all hyped up. “
-Video Matt
“Everyone should buy the mewtwo special! or rent it or borrow it from a friend, or something. O_o “
-Kakkoideeji
“I loved this story. Jessie and James were terrific, as always, it was cute to see Meowth helping out, and the Pikachu and Meowth clones were adorable, Mewtwo was great, and Ash was a true hero once again. I give it a five star rating. “
-CassidyJess
“To make short. Love it “
-Ash Gabbiani
"It was great to see Mewtwo again. That was mostly all that really mattered to me when I bought it. However, not only was I treated to Mewtwo, the drawing was better than usual, it was extremely undubbed, and the storyline was pretty good for Pokemon! I loved it!"

Ummmm…I guess they all liked it. ^^; My (the Webmistress') final verdict is this: It was OK. Not stellar, but all in all, very nice. An enjoyable diversion, but not up to par with the other full-length features. While an improvment over the earlier New Years specials (Pikachu's Winter Vacation and Pikachu's Winter Vacation 2000)It may not live up to the years of hype that preceeded its release. Overall, it receives * * * ½ / * * * * *
