Lailo & Stitch

Lailo is a lonely Japanese girl living on the island of Hokkaido with her sister, Luna. Lailo is a troublemaker, and shunned by the other children. Hoping to bring her sister out of her shell, Luna takes Lailo to the local animal shelter, where they adopt a small, ugly cat, whom Lailo names Stitch. Stitch would be the perfect pet... if he wasn't a genetic experiment, escaped from a military facility on another world.

The destructive Stitch is almost certain to doom the fragile chances of Lailo remaining in her sister's care. With bounty-hunters after Stitch, and social workers after Lailo and Luna, trouble abounds. Though Stitch sees lailo only as a human shield, through her faith and unwavering belief in "Yujo" -- Friendship -- Lailo helps unlock Stitch's heart and gives him the one thing he wasn't designed to have...the ability to love.
