I'm terribly sorry for not updating in quite awhile!! Here's the latest on Ed:

  • A snapshot of Ed in this week's People magazine, running down a New York street for the film 15 Minutes.

  • Some fantastic shots of Ed on the set of 15 minutes on Dark Horizons (follow this link: Report #2: "I work in the Times Square Theatre district and our building has been caught in the middle of the new DeNiro and Edward Burns flick "15 minutes". As we speak, they're planning to blow an abandoned building (across the street from us) on 8th avenue sky high. I was told by an on-set P.A. that they're going to blow it up at midnight. Also, they were filming a scene which involved a dozen naval officers, they were shooting in front of a large electronics store here in Manhattan"

"So I'm in New York on Sunday the 25th with a group of foreign exchange students, and as we're taking them to see the Statue of Liberty, we're on the ferry heading to the island when we hear gunshots. The entire crowd of people turn around and see cops running everywhere. We're scared out of our minds, but then we realize: they're filming a movie. Now, this is at the US Navy Memorial that is next to the Ellis Island Ferry station, with the big huge blocks with Navy stuff engraved on it. All I can see is that there are cops (I think they rented real cops because later I saw them getting into cop cars; or they rented cop cars) and after the gunshots they run a lot. They did this three times over. There was also a big NY Police boat docked next to them. After we came back, they were still filming scenes there. I asked a Ferry worker what movie it was (I figured he'd been standing there all day, so he'd know) and he said it was "15 Minutes" with Robert DeNiro. I asked excitedly if DeNiro was there. He said (maybe a little spoiler) that "No, he's already dead.""

TV WATCH!: Ed will be featured on June 23rd's Access Hollywood! They will be doing a story about 15 Minutes.

I don't know if any of you caught the Rosie O'Donnell show today but Ed's girlfriend was on: Heather Graham! Rosie basically started the conversation by showing a picture of Heather standing with someone Rosie didn't recognize-Heather told her it was Ed, in sunglasses and a leather jacket. Rosie was shocked and went on to say how much she loved Ed etc...Heather talked about Ed filming his new movie, "15 Minutes" and she also revealed a scene where his arm is lit on fire!

New cast members have joined "15 Minutes":

Melina Kanakaredes (Providence, Guiding Light), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), and John DiResta (UPN's DiResta) have joined Robert De Niro and Edward Burns (She's The One) in the cast of NEW LINE CINEMA's 15 MINUTES. Kanakaredes and Grammer both play tabloid TV show reporters in the satirical thriller, and Kanakaredes is also De Niro's love interest.

Oh no, could it be an entire month has gone by without an update? Here's the news:

  • On Any Given Sunday has been changed to just Any Given Sunday and you can find the official site on the internet now. Unfortunately there is little information there, especially about Ed (his character isn't even mentioned!)

  • The movie Ed has signed up to do with Robert De Niro is called 15 Minutes. Ed will play an arsonist who teams up with a detective (De Niro) to stop crime. Kelsey Grammer is also in talks to join the film, which will probably start production this month.

I've posted a screen shot of Ed and Heather Graham at the Oscars in the images section. Unfortunately, there's only one, the clip went by so quickly!

Ain't It Cool News has a story about Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday (with Ed.)

Well you've probably all heard it by now-Ed and Heather Graham are deeply in love. Whether they're engaged yet? Well, the Access Hollywood reporter couldn't pry that news out of the couple as they were headed towards the Screen Actors Guild awards.

If you want to catch Ed in a magazine, check out Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue coming soon to newsstands. The issue, which features the greatest in Hollywood each year will contain a photo spread of famous siblings. Included are Ed and Brian Burns who work together in their production company, Irish Twins.

According a story in the New York Daily News, Ed Burns is one of the famous people featured in a promo for the Knicks. The bits include the famous stars (Ed, and even Claudia Schiffer, Chris Rock, and Spike Lee) jumping into a cab to get to the Garden, the theme being "Take Me to the Garden." The clips will be shown before the Knicks are introduced.

The group of Saving Private Ryan (Ed, Matt Damon, Giovanni Ribisi, Adam Goldberg, Vin Diesel and others) have been nominated for Best Ensemble in a Movie at the Screen Actors Guild Awards! The Awards will be held March 7th.

Many of you requested more pics of Ed...unfortunately due to lack of publicity, I'm currently trying to get my hands on any pics I can find. Meanwhile, check out this great one from Celebsite (sorry, it's not clickable!)

Sorry for not updating in a while, but Ed unfortunately is a pretty quiet guy! Here's some of the latest from Entertainment Weekly:

CASTING Robert De Niro is discussing teaming with Edward Burns in ''15 Minutes,'' where they'll play a homicide detective and fire department investigator who team to solve a murder. John Herzfeld (''Don King: Only in America'') wrote the script and will direct.

    Happy New Year!
Strange Ed sighting...recently I was watching a Toronto based show called Fashion Television, who was covering the Giorgio Armanni Emporio show in New York City. They mentioned many celebs going, as well as a quick shot of Ed entering the building.

Due to negative response from some people about this site, I neglected updating it and burrowed into little hole in cyberspace oblivion. A letter from someone changed that and now that I've checked the hits on this page, I'm very pleasantly surprised! Now I'm going to try to make this page into one of the best on the Internet. So basically here's all the news I've forgotten to update (some of it comes from Shanda, thank you :-):

  • Edward recently made an appearance at a bookstore to do a book signing for a new book released about Saving Private Ryan.
  • Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J have joined the cast for Oliver Stone's football drama, Any Given Sunday. The cast list is as follows: Al Pacino, Dennis Quaid, James Woods, Edward Burns, Ann-Margret, Tom Arnold, Bill Bellamy, Elizabeth Berkley, Jim Brown (I), Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Lauren Holly, LL Cool J, Matthew Modine, Tom Sizemore, Lawrence Taylor (II). This cast list may not be correct, and I'm unsure about Lauren Holly being in it.
  • Shanda says that Ed was on Conan O'Brian some time ago! Did anyone manage to catch it? E-mail me.

The Unofficial Ed Burns page is now online. I am a big fan of Ed, basically because he can do it all-write, direct, and act. And he can do it well. Take a while to check out the other sections of the site, and have fun.
