Here's where I get to tell you all about myself, and my interests.  How did you ever find yourself browsing to this page anyway?  Either you're bored, or you have some sort of interest in my ideas.  Either way, I'm glad you're here. (lol) Well, I'll start by saying that I'm 28 years old and live in Cranston, Rhode Island.  I graduated in June 1989 from Cranston East, and went into the US Air Force five months later.  I was stationed in Europe for three years, and while there, had the opportunity to visit many countries, including Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Turkey, and Iraq. After three years of fun in Europe, my last year in the Air Force was spent at F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.  Quite a change from the fast-paced European lifestyle I enjoyed previously.  The only good thing I can say about Wyoming is that it's damn close to Colorado.

I got out of the Air Force in May 1994 and came back to Rhode Island.  Let me explain something about Rhode Island...it's the kind of state that you love to hate. By that I mean that it's such a small state, that I've been practically everywhere in the state at one time or another.  It's fun to rag on the state, because it has so much character.  I do like Rhode Island though...but I'm constantly amazed by the people in this state who have never been anywhere except here!  *but...I digress...sorry* Anyway, I am now working for a large company in the role of a Corporate Security Representative.  I really enjoy my job, which is a rare thing these days, from what I gather.  I have been attending CCRI (Community College of Rhode Island) off and on, and intend to get my Associate's Degree in Computer Networking at some point in the next few years. (lol)

Answers

01. Why did you build a website?

I built this website primarily because I spend quite a bit of time online and wanted to give you some idea of who I was.  It took quite a while to build this page, but I figured if I did it once, then I wouldn't have to do it again.  Besides, I enjoy practicing web page design, so this gives me a perfect excuse to work on it.

02. What kind of car do you drive?

I just bought a black 2000 Ford Focus ZX3, which is SO FUN to drive!! It's a 5 speed, and unlike any other car I've ever owned, the air conditioning actually works!!  I haven't seen any other ZX3s on the road yet.  This is both cool, but at the same time, a little strange!  If you own a ZX3, let me know!!
 

03. Have you ever been married?

No.  I have never been married in my life.  When I was in the Air Force, I met a lot of  other people that immediately got married to someone that they had just met!  That never appealed to me.  I've been in my share of relationships, but never with what I considered to be the "right one".  When the time is right, I will know.  (Please see Question #12 below for details concering the type of woman I would consider eventually tying the knot with.)

04. Do you have any children?

No, I do not have children.

05. Where are some places I might run into you?

Well...this is a rather tough question to answer since I like to go to a lot of different places.  I will just say that I occasionally go to the following places, which will give you an idea of the kind of things I like to do:

• Boston Billiards (in Warwick near the malls)
• Parente's Bar (in Smithfield on Rt-7 near Bryant College)
• Foxwoods Casino
• the City of Providence and its various bars (you'd be likely to find me in places like Wickenden Pub, the Keg Room, Snooker's (a pool hall), and have even been known to attend a performance or two at Trinity Rep)
• Border's Bookstore in Garden City (actually, I love going to Garden City)
• Boston
• The Comedy Connection (East Providence or Boston)
• camping in New Hampshire or Maine
• New York occassionally

I got out of the Air Force for a few reasons.  Primarily, I didn't like the fact that they controlled your entire life.  I didn't want to be just another number. (lol)  Also, with all the cutbacks after the Cold War ended, it seemed like our readines was starting to suffer, and I was not quite as impressed anymore with my being in the military.  Besides, all the bases I really enjoyed (like most European bases) closed.  I didn't want to end up stuck in Wyoming for my entire life!! I still have a great amount of respect for military members though, and I'll raise a toast to anybody who has served or is still serving anyday!

07. What do you like to do for fun?

I love to sit around over a coffee or a beer just talking to people.  I am a huge conversationalist.  I love to be social, and can be a real chatterbox.  I love to bounce ideas off of other people to get their reactions and opinions.

I also like camping in the summer months.  (In a tent...with just the food/drinks we'll need to "survive" the weekend)

08. Do you have any pets?

Yes.  I have two cats (Shadow and Cleopatra).  They are great cats.

09. What qualities do you look for in a woman?

Well...I have met the most wonderful woman named Barb.  She is everything I've been looking for in a woman!  Here's the words that used to be here before, and they describe Barb perfectly!!  

"I look for women that are great conversationalists.  As I indicated in question #11, I love to talk to people.  I also look for people that are friendly, and have some sort of idea of where they are going in life.  As far as women that I might be interested in dating go, I look for women that don't say "Whatever you want to do is fine with me" all the time.  I like qualities such as honesty, someone who isn't uncomfortable meeting or talking around my family, someone who is interested in being with one guy (as opposed to being in a few relationships at once!), someone who isn't afraid of committment, and somebody who has the intelligence to realize from the beginning that I am a good guy, and not just assume before getting to know me that just because I'm a guy, I must be "just another asshole".
