First of all, I'm the son of Richard and Betty
Thomas. I have three sisters and a brother. From my oldest sister Sharyn
and her husband I have a niece, Briana, and a nephew, Joshua. From my other
older sister Teri and her husband Joe I have two nephews, Corey and
Joey, and a niece Gabrielle. Then I have and older brother Rick and a younger
sister Sandi. My parents (like most in this country) got divorced when
I was younger and I live with my father, which whom I get along with very
well, in Bolingbrook, IL.
Now I'm at Northern Illinois University trying to major in political science
and minor in psychology. Hopefully, when I'm done here I can go to some
Chicago-Area Law School(possibly DePaul or UIC).
Also, I'm a Supervisor at NORC, a research facility, where I incorporate
the knowledge I've learned to try and make me be the best possible Supervisor
I can be(That's in case my boss reads my page). I've been there since May
'96 and was promoted in Sept. '97 to the position that I have now.
To summarize myself: I'm 20 years old, 5'11", thin(135lbs), blondish-brown
hair, brown eyes, and tanned (May-September).
If you want to know the colorful
side of me you have to know what I do and like.
If you've already been through other parts of my website, you would have
noticed that I like to travel. Most of all, I would like to travel cross-country
with my friends Mike and Dave.
Whether they approve or not, I feel that I should
let you know a little bit about my traveling buddies:
- Mike(who is also my best friend) is a unique
individual. I met him, along with Dave, at Maritz Research when I started
there back in 1993. After the place closed in 1995, Mike was out of work
for about two years and he lived it up as much as possible. If you ask
how could any 20 year old be out of work for two years and survive. My
only possible response could be, "Hey, it's Mike." Mike is the
traveling inspiration of the group he mentions every place possible for
us to travel and Dave or I has to approve it.
- Dave and I started of on a bad note when I first
met him. We got into an argument and almost a fist fight, but after that
we were cool with each other. Dave has a catch phrase for every possible
event, occassion, or time of day. He's the guy that leaves his keys under
his car (I doubt he'll do it anymore, now that I've announced it on the
net) when he goes to work so he doesn't have to carry them around with
him. This guy is hard-core. The best event that I can recall that will
characterize him was back when we went to Ho-Chunk Casino: it's 4:30am
and we just got back from gambling and we have a wake up call for 7:30am.
Dave, instead of sleeping, wants to stay up all night/morning. So he opens
all the windows, turns on all the lights and the TV and starts talking
to us. We finally convinced him to go to bed. Lying in bed he calls the
front desk of the hotel and tells them that we have a wake up call for
7:30am and that he'd like to change it to 6:30am. Mike and I almost died
laughing because we thought he was calling to change it to later because
it was alreay 5:30am. That about describes him.
What else
I like:
Well, I like
music. My favorite bands are a toss-up between Van Halen and Metallica.
My favorite
sports team is the Chicago Bulls.
I'm into sports for the most part. I play basketball, volleyball, baseball,
and raquetball when I have the free time and if weather permits it.
My favorite show is Seinfeld:
