Colonel Jack O'Neill
played by Richard Dean Anderson
Colonel O'Neill, leads the Stargate SG-1 team. He is an accomplished
Airforce, with a range of military skills
which have aided him for both the original Stargate mission and
upon the formation of SG-1 he came out of
retirement to SG-1 to new worlds through the Stargate on
Earth.
Dr. Daniel Jackson
played by Michael Shanks
Dr. Jackson, a member of the original Stargate mission, remained
behind on Abydos, until the gate's reactivation
and being visited by Colonel O'Neil, and being told the that Ra
was not the last of his kind. He joined the SG-1 team
in the hope that he might find his wife, who was taken by
Apophis and implanted with a Goa'uld larva.
Captain Samantha Carter
played by Amanda Tapping
Captain Carter, with a PhD in Theoretical Astrophysics,
is considered an expert on the Stargate as she has been studying it for
years, since before the first Stargate mission, and is an invaluable resource
of the SG-1 team. With her military
background and scientific expertise, she serves as a kind of cross
between Dr. Jackson and Colonel O'Neill.
Teal'c
played by Christopher
Judge
Teal'c
is the newest member of SG-1, before joining he was a Jaffa who had served
as a personal guard for the Goa'uld Apophis. His knowledge of the Goa'uld
and some of the alien cultures has been instrumental in many
missions. He carries within him a Goa'uld larva, as do all Jaffa,
giving him incredible stamina and healing ability.
