For Echuca skier Steve Morley the victory was sweet, having returned to racing this weekend, after an accident ended his skiing career in 1997.
Blown Budget was always going to be around the top standings, after a great run in the Bakers Blitz.
After qualifying third fastest in the Bakers Blitz, Blowen Budget had clear water in front of it, as Stinga and The Sting retired early in the long 80km race from Torrumbarry to Echuca on the mighty Murray River.
Blown Budget was one of only six boats in the super class to finish.
Last years winner Hell Razor failed to finish the race with engine problems midway through the race.
Second to cross the line was The Axe (32.13) and 3rd was The Syndicate (32.18)The other 3 places went to Revival (33.32), Thumpin (39.26), And Humble (50.51)
For Humble, a close shave came at Merool's dangerous series of turns. The driver lost control of his boat causing it to spin 360* out of control. Both skiers were able to dodge the boat while the driver and observer were both tossed out and landed in the river 20 feet down stream.
