Section 3 Vulnerable Points |

Section 3 Vulnerable Points The targets that will cause the most harm is down the center line of the body. If you draw a line from the center of the forehead down to the groin, there are many points of attack. I will take each part of the body and tell you about the different points of attack. Section 3-1 Head: · Top of head: The skull is weak where the frontal cranial bones join. A forceful strike causes trauma to the cranial cavity, resulting in unconsciousness and hemorrhage. A severe strike can result in death. · Forehead: A forceful blow can cause whiplash; a severe blow can cause cerebral hemorrhage and death. · Eyes: The eyes are a great place to strike if you can, since a good strike in the eyes will cause temporary or permanent blindness, causes uncontrollable watering, blurred vision or the eyes can be gouged out. Death can result if the fingers penetrate through the thin bones behind the eyes (orbital bones) and into the brain. To attack the eyes, make a "V" shape with your fore finger and second finger and stick them into his eyes while keeping your fingers stiff. Also, you can gouge the eyes with your thumb. · Temple: The bones of the skull are weak at the temple, and an artery and large nerve lie close to the skin. A sharp blow to the temple can cause unconsciousness, concussions and severe pain. A powerful strike can sever the artery. The resulting is massive hemorrhaging, which compresses the brain, causing coma and or death. The best way to strike the temple is with the knife-edge of your hand or if he is on the ground you can kick him with the toe of your boot. · Ears: A strike to the ear with cupped hands can rupture the eardrum and may cause a brain concussion, even death. · Back of ears and base of skull: A moderate blow to the back of the ears or the base of the skull can cause unconsciousness by the jarring effect on the back of the brain. However, a powerful blow can cause a concussion or brain hemorrhage and death. · Nose: (Extremely vulnerable) Strike with the knife-edge of the hand along the bridge, which will cause breakage, sharp pain, and temporary blindness and eye watering. Also, deliver a blow with the heel of your hand in an upward motion, this will shove the bone up into the brain causing death. · Upper lip: A large network of nerves is located there. These nerves are extremely close to the skin. A sharp upward blow will cause extreme pain, and unconsciousness, not to mention a few teeth missing. · Mouth: If the enemy is on the ground, use the heel of your boot and strike him on the mouth. Since there are a lot of veins and arteries in the teeth there will be a lot of blood which will frighten the enemy and he will lose concentration on defending other parts of his body. · Jaw: A blow to the jaw can break or dislocate it. If the facial nerve is pinched against the lower jaw, one side of the face will be paralyzed. · Chin: A blow from the fist square onto the chin can cause breakage and/or dislocation, paralysis, mild concussion, and unconsciousness. The jawbone acts as a lever that can transmit the force of a blow to the back of the brain where the cardiac and respiratory mechanisms are controlled. · Adam's Apple: This spot is usually pretty well protected, but if you get the chance, strike hard with the knife-edge of your hand. This should sever the windpipe. Also, you can squeeze the Adam's Apple between your fingers. A forceful blow causes extreme pain and gagging or vomiting. · Esophagus (Windpipe): If you have a chance to get a hold of his neck, press your thumbs into his esophagus (located below the Adam's Apple). Pushing hard will be very painful and it will block the oxygen flow to his lungs and he will die quickly. · Side of neck. A sharp blow to the side of the neck causes unconsciousness by shock to the carotid artery, jugular vein, and vagus nerve. For maximum effect, the blow should be focused below and slightly in front of the ear. A less powerful blow causes involuntary muscle spasms and intense pain. The side of the neck is one of the best targets to use to drop an opponent immediately or to disable him temporarily to finish him later. · Back of the Neck: A powerful blow to the back of one's neck can cause whiplash, concussion, or even a broken neck and death. Use your fist in a pounding motion, or jab motion. Also you can use an elbow smash. Section 3-2 Upper Body: · Collar bone: The collarbone is an extremely sensitive part of the body. A sharp blow to it with the knife-edge of your hand or your elbow gives the enemy excruciating pain. The fracture can also sever the brachial nerve or sub-clavian artery. Also, digging your finger into the collarbone can bring your enemy to his knees. · Wrists: Immobilize by bending backwards. If done right, you will be able to move them anywhere you want them to go. · Fingers: Immobilize by bending backwards. Also can be broken easily. · Elbows: Immobilize by bending backwards. A quick blow by the palm of the hand or elbow, and he wont be able to use that arm for a while. · Biceps: A strike to the biceps is most painful and renders the arm ineffective. The biceps is an especially good target when an opponent holds a weapon. · Forearm muscle: The radial nerve, which controls much of the movement in the hand, passes over the forearm bone just below the elbow. A strike to the radial nerve renders the hand and arm ineffective. An opponent can be disarmed by a strike to the forearm; if the strike is powerful enough, he can be knocked unconscious. · Back of hand: The backs of the hands are sensitive. Since the nerves pass over the bones in the hand, a strike to this area is intensely painful. The small bones on the back of the hand are easily broken and such a strike can also render the hand ineffective. · Shoulders: My favorite. Dislocating it is fun. Turn arm backwards till palm is facing up. The rest is up to you. · Front of shoulder muscle: A large bundle of nerves passes in front of the shoulder joint. A forceful blow causes extreme pain and can make the whole arm ineffective if the nerves are struck just right. · Nipples: A large network of nerves passes near the skin at the nipples. A blow here can cause extreme pain and hemorrhage to the many blood vessels beneath. · Heart: A jolting blow to the heart can stun the opponent and allow time for follow-up or finishing techniques. · Armpits: Major pressure point. Dig you thumb in nice and deep till you find the ribs. · Rib Cage: A strike to the rib cage with your fingers folded at the second knuckle is rather painful and if done hard enough causes severe pain and breakage. Only use your fingers folded at the second knuckle since that hurts the most. · Floating Ribs: The floating ribs are the lower ribs located at the front and sides of the enemy's body. A blow to the floating ribs can easily fracture them because they are not attached to the rib cage. Use the knife-edge of your hand or the heel or toe of your boot. Fractured ribs on the right side can cause internal injury to the liver; fractured ribs on either side can possibly puncture or collapse a lung. · Solar Plexus: The solar plexus is a center for nerves that control the cardiorespiratory system. It is located on the chest at the little "V" shaped point where the rib cage ends. There are a large amount of nerves so a blow with the knuckle of your second finger can cause severe pain, unconsciousness, and can take the breath from the opponent. Hard target, but he will let you know when you connect. · Diaphragm: A blow to the lower front of the ribs can cause the diaphragm and the other muscles that control breathing to relax. This causes loss of breath and can result in unconsciousness due to respiratory failure. · Spine: A blow to the spine with the heel of your boot can paralyze or kill your enemy. The lower spine between the enemy's kidneys is the best place to hit as that is the least protected part of the spine. You will only be able to attack the spine when your enemy is on the ground or if his back is turned to you. · Groin: A VERY vulnerable spot. If left open, get it with knee hard, and he'll buckle over very fast. · Kidneys: The kidneys have two large nerves that are close to the skin surface. A powerful blow to the kidneys can induce shock and can possibly cause internal injury to these organs. If you strike the kidneys hard enough, it will cause death. You can use a fist or the knife-edge of your hand to hit the kidneys. Or a kick with the heel of your boot will work too. · Abdomen below navel: A powerful blow to the area below the navel and above the groin can cause shock, unconsciousness, and internal bleeding. · Tailbone: The tailbone which is located above the anus is a very sensitive part of the body as a lot of spinal nerves are located there. Use the toe of your boot to strike the tailbone. The pain from that is unbelievably severe. |
