Broccoli Rice Casserole
½ cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided
2 cups hot cooked Minute Premium Long-Grain Rice
1 can (10¾ ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups fresh broccoli flowerets or 1 package (10 ounce) frozen
chopped broccoli, cooked, well drained
1 jar (8 ounces) Cheez Whiz Pasteurized Process Cheese Sauce
½ cup fresh bread cubes
Cook and stir onion in 1 tablespoon of the butter in large skillet on medium heat until tender. Add rice, soup, broccoli and process cheese sauce; mix lightly. Spoon into 1½-quart casserole. Toss remaining 1 tablespoon butter, melted, and bread cubes; sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Garnish with apple slices. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
